Electrical Requirements

Direct Wiring: Use flexible, armored, or nonmetallic sheathed copper wire with a grounding wire that meets local codes and ordinances. A UL Listed or CSA Approved conduit connector is required.

Power Supply Cord: Use a power supply cord kit (Part Number 4317824) marked for dishwasher use. Follow the kit's instructions. The cord must plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet located in the cabinet next to the dishwasher opening, meeting all local codes and ordinances.

Water Supply Requirements

A hot water line with a pressure of 20 psi to 120 psi (138 kPa to 862 kPa) is required. The water temperature at the dishwasher should be 120°F (49°C). Use 3/8" (9.5 cm) O.D. copper tubing with a compression fitting or a flexible braided water supply line. 1/2" (1.3 cm) minimum plastic tubing is not recommended.

A 90° elbow with a 3/4" (9.5 cm) hose connection and rubber washer (Part No. W10273460) is recommended. Do not solder within 6" (15.2 cm) of the water inlet valve.

Drain Requirements

A new drain hose is supplied with the dishwasher. If it is not long enough, use a new drain hose with a maximum length of 12' (3.7 m) (Part No. 3385556) that meets AHAM/IAPMO standards, is resistant to heat and detergent, and fits the 1" (2.5 cm) drain connector.

Connect the drain hose to a waste tee or disposer inlet above the drain trap in the house plumbing, at a minimum of 20" (50.8 cm) above the floor. It is recommended to loop the drain hose up and secure it to the underside of the counter, or connect it to an air gap.

Use an air gap if the drain hose connects to house plumbing lower than 20" (50.8 cm) above the subfloor or floor. Use 1/2" (1.3 cm) minimum I.D. drain line fittings.

If an air gap is required, install it according to its instructions. A rubber hose (not provided) will be needed to connect the air gap to the waste tee or disposer inlet.

Cabinet Cutout Dimensions
