General Information
This document provides mounting instructions for the SW-MOTECH BLAZE® H panniers. It is recommended to consult the SW-MOTECH website for the latest version of these instructions and for additional information, such as application charts. Installation and maintenance should be carried out by a specialist workshop. Ensure all parts are correctly fitted and tightened according to the instructions. Compatibility with accessory exhaust systems cannot be guaranteed.
Important Notes:
- Read all instructions carefully before starting.
- Ensure the vehicle is stable during installation.
- Check all parts for completeness and damage before installation.
- Torque specifications are provided; use vehicle manufacturer's specifications if they differ.
- Ensure a minimum clearance of 5 cm from hot vehicle parts and exhaust streams.

Mounting Instructions
Step 1: Mounting Bracket Assembly
Attach the mounting bracket (1) to the connector holder (2) using screws (3) and (4), and secure with lock nuts (5). Tighten screws to 2.5 Nm. Diagram description: Shows parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 being assembled.
Step 2: Support Arm Assembly
Insert the plastic plug (8) into the connector (7). Attach the support arm (6) to the connector (7). Secure with screws (9) and lock nuts (10). Tighten screws to 1.2 Nm. Diagram description: Shows parts 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 being assembled.
Step 3: Attaching Support Arms to Vehicle
Attach the assembled support arms (6) to the vehicle's frame using the mounting brackets (1) and connector holders (2). Ensure correct left (L) and right (R) placement. Diagram description: Shows the assembled support arms being attached to the motorcycle frame.
Step 4: Attaching Pannier Brackets
Attach the fastening lug (11) to the support arm using lenshead screw (12), washer (13), and lock nut (14). Tighten screw to 2.5 Nm. Diagram description: Shows parts 11, 12, 13, 14 being attached to the support arm.
Step 5: Securing Panniers
Attach the pannier brackets using screws (15), spacer (16), and (18), and nuts (17) and (19). Tighten screws to 23 Nm. Diagram description: Shows parts 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 being used to attach the pannier brackets.
Step 6: Connecting Panniers to Support Arms
Insert the connectors (7) of the support arms into the connector holders (2) on both sides of the vehicle. Ensure an audible click sound [click!]. Check the secure fit of the support arms. Before mounting the panniers, refer to the pannier's specific mounting instructions. Diagram description: Shows the connector part of the support arm clicking into the holder.
Step 7: Securing Panniers with Straps
Attach the safety straps of the panniers (3) to the buckles (1) on both sides. Tighten the screws of the buckles (1). Tighten the safety straps to secure the panniers (3). Roll up and secure excess strap length. ATTENTION: Before each ride, ensure velcro flaps and safety straps are firmly tightened and support arms carry no load. Incorrectly secured panniers can damage the product and vehicle. Diagram description: Shows the pannier being attached to the buckle and straps being tightened.
Step 8: Using Waterproof Inner Bags
Use the waterproof inner bags (4) to protect luggage from moisture. Sensitive items like electronics should be further protected with a plastic bag. Diagram description: Shows inner bags being placed into panniers.
Safety, Loading, and Care
Safety and Loading:
- Distribute weight evenly between panniers.
- Secure luggage against shifting during rides.
- Do not store sharp or fragile objects.
- Only loop assigned SW-MOTECH products to the MOLLE attachment.
- Remove support arms when riding without panniers.
- Ensure no product components contact hot or moving vehicle parts. Maintain at least 5 cm clearance from hot parts and exhaust streams.
- Compatibility with accessory exhaust systems is not guaranteed.
Care:
- Use only a soft textile brush, cloth, or sponge with warm soapy water. Rinse with clean water.
- Do NOT use strong cleaning agents, rough cleaning tools, or high-pressure washers.
- Clean the product after winter rides to prevent salt damage.
UV Protection: Surface materials may change color or fade due to prolonged sun exposure and environmental factors (e.g., SMOG, acid rain). Gasoline and similar substances must be washed off immediately. SW-MOTECH is not liable for color changes.
