Electrical Requirements
A WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not remove the ground prong. Do not use an adapter or extension cord. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.
Grounding Method: A 115 V, 60 Hz AC-only, 15 A or 20 A fused, grounded electrical supply is required. It is recommended to use a separate circuit for the refrigerator. Use an outlet that cannot be turned off by a switch. Do not use an extension cord.
IMPORTANT: If connected to a GFCI outlet, nuisance tripping may occur, leading to loss of cooling. Dispose of food if quality is affected by such tripping.
Note on Power Off: Before installation, cleaning, or replacing a light bulb, turn cooling off or set the control to Off. For digital controls, press the minus sign until dashes appear. Disconnect from electrical source. Reconnect and turn cooling on after completion.
Water Pressure Requirements
Water Supply: A cold water supply with pressure between 35 psi and 120 psi (241 kPa and 827 kPa) is required for the water dispenser and ice maker. Consult a licensed plumber if you have questions about water pressure.
Note on Low Pressure: If water pressure is below requirements, water dispenser flow may decrease, or ice cubes may be hollow or irregular.
Reverse Osmosis Water Supply: The water pressure from a reverse osmosis system to the water inlet valve must be between 35 psi and 120 psi (241 kPa and 827 kPa). If the reverse osmosis system is connected to your home cold water supply, the pressure to the system must be a minimum of 40 psi to 60 psi (276 kPa to 414 kPa).
