The TYPE S 136" Smart Underglow kit includes the following components:

Installation

LED Strip Installation

Follow these steps to install the LED strips:

• Choose your desired location to install the light strips. Refer to the placement diagram.
• Clean the surface thoroughly with the provided alcohol pads and let it dry completely.
• Peel off the 3M™ tape backer from the bottom of the light strips and carefully apply them to the desired area.
• Use the wire mounting brackets and screws to secure the LED strips or wires as shown in the diagram. Pilot holes may be drilled before driving in screws for easier installation.

Installing the Smart Hub

The Smart Hub requires a 12V power source.

• Choose your desired location for the Smart Hub.
• Clean the surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely.
• Peel off the 3M™ tape backer from the bottom of the Smart Hub and carefully apply it to the desired area.
• For exterior installation, 12V Hardwire installation is recommended.

12V Hardwire Installation

Smart Hub hardwire cables are color-coded: RED for POSITIVE (+) and BLACK for NEGATIVE (-).

• Connect the RED cable to the POSITIVE (+) battery clamp. The POSITIVE battery post is typically slightly larger than the NEGATIVE post and marked with a PLUS (+) sign. A RED protective cover may be present.
• Connect the BLACK cable to the NEGATIVE (-) battery clamp. The NEGATIVE terminal is marked with a MINUS (-) sign. A BLACK plastic protective cover may be present.

[Note] After connecting the Smart Hub to the car battery, the LED power indicator will flash Blue. If it does not flash, recheck your power connections.

The Smart HUB has built-in voltage protection to prevent car battery drain. The lights will automatically turn off and the HUB will enter standby mode when the voltage drops to approximately 12V. If the car battery is below 12V, do not turn on the LED lights until the engine is started or power returns to 12V or above.

[Warning] DO NOT mix up the cables or allow the metal ends to touch together, as this may damage the battery, charging system, and/or vehicle electronics. Ensure the vehicle's engine is not running during installation.

App Installation

To control your lighting, install the TYPE S Smart Lighting APP on your device.

• Search for "TYPE S LED" in the App Store [App Store Logo] or Google Play [Google Play Logo].
• Alternatively, scan the QR code provided [QR Code for App Download] to find the compatible app for iOS or Android.

App Compatibility:

• iOS: Compatible with iPhone 4s & higher, iPad3, iPad Mini, iPad Air & higher, and iPod touch 5th Generation & higher. Requires iOS 7.0 or higher.
• Android: Compatible with phones with Android™ 4.3 or higher. Note: Not all Android™ phones are equipped with Bluetooth® v5.2 required for this application.

Once installed, open the app and begin enjoying your Plug & Glow™ experience.

Using the App

Tap the "Smart Exterior Kit" icon to start. The app will automatically pair to the Hub when both are powered on (including Bluetooth [Bluetooth Symbol]) and within 30ft.

App Features and Controls:

A. Master On/Off Switch: Controls the main power to all connected lights.

B. Password: Set a password to prevent unauthorized access and control of your lights. The password is saved in the app and the Smart Hub Controller. To set or change the password, the device must be connected to the Smart Hub. If the password is forgotten, press the Smart Hub Controller reset button for 3 seconds or disconnect power.

C. LED Zone Functions: Allows control of up to four separate sets of LED strips (e.g., 72" Smart LED Front Grill Kit).

• Zone On/Off: Press each zone icon to turn individual zones on or off.
• Move Zone Icon: Press and hold a zone icon, select "Move" to reposition it.
• Rename Zone Icon: Press and hold a zone icon, select "Rename" to give it a custom name (maximum 4 characters).
• Select Multiple: Select and control multiple zones simultaneously. Press and hold a zone icon, select "Select Multiple", choose desired zones, and press "Confirm". To ungroup, press and hold a zone icon and select "Ungroup".

D. Save Preset: Save your favorite lighting configurations. After creating a setting, press "Save Preset", enter a name, and save up to 10 presets. To select a saved preset, press "Select Preset" and choose from your saved settings. To delete a saved preset, press "Select Preset", then press and hold the preset to delete, and confirm with "Yes".

E. Select Color: Choose from up to 49 different colors. Press "Select Color", pick your desired color, and press "Confirm".

F. LED Mode: Select from up to 22 different modes, including preset color themes.

G. Brightness: Use the slider to adjust the overall brightness of the LED lights.

H. Speed: Use the slider to adjust the speed of movement for animated LED modes.

8. Do not operate the LED kit if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged; take it to a qualified serviceperson.
9. Do not disassemble the LED kit. Service or repair requires a qualified serviceperson. Incorrect reassembly may result in electric shock or fire.
10. To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug the charger before attempting any maintenance or cleaning. Turning off controls will not reduce this risk.
