Connections

This section describes how to connect your P-80 Preamplifier to other audio devices.

Preamplifier Rear Panel Ports:

• PHONO (MM/MC, L/R)
• COAXIAL IN
• CD
• TV (ARC)
• USB (5V/1A)
• OPT IN
• OPT OUT
• ANALOG 1 (L/R)
• ANALOG 2 (L/R)
• SUBWOOFER (1/2)
• PRE OUT (L/R)
• GND terminal

Connecting Devices:

Connect a Turntable to the PHONO and GND terminals using RCA cables.

Connect a CD player to the CD or DIGITAL IN terminals using appropriate cables.

Connect the Power amplifier to the PRE OUT terminals using RCA cables.

For connections of other devices, refer to the Instruction Manuals.

Power Connection

Connect the supplied power cord to the AC INLET on the P-80 and to a wall outlet.

Note for North American, Australian, and Asian models:

Note for Japanese models: For improved sound quality, align the polarity of the power supply. Connect the side of the power plug with the 'N' marking to the longer slot of the outlet. If the outlet slots are the same length, either connection is acceptable.

Mobile App Control

The P-80 allows for various operations from a mobile terminal using the dedicated Onkyo Control Plus app.

Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.

Make a network connection following the guidance of the app.

You can find your device (P-80) to configure Wi-Fi settings within the app.

Bluetooth Setup

Enable Bluetooth on the P-80 and your mobile device to connect wirelessly.

Toggle Bluetooth: Off / On
