WARNING: Only the repair personnel are allowed to repair the LCD monitor and replace its components. Failure to comply will result in electric shock and fire.

CAUTION: Clean the equipment by using a piece of clean, soft cotton cloth. Do not wipe repeatedly with a strong force.

Do not scratch, knock, or impact the screen with hard objects, or rub it with abrasive agents.

Thank you for choosing Hisense LCD. This product conforms to the DICOM Part 14 standard and is suitable for medical images such as DSA, MRI, DR, CR, CT, and PET. It provides image browsing and medical diagnosis functions for trained medical personnel.

Original packaging

The monitor is lifted to the highest position

CAUTION: When adjusting the height of the monitor, hold the left and right sides of the monitor with both hands. Do not put your hands directly under the monitor to avoid pinching your hands when the monitor reaches the lowest level.

Menu MENU/selection button
The main menu is displayed when no menu option is available. OK is displayed when a menu option is available.
Upward When no UI is displayed, the Upward button is used to call out the one-click highlight function, and the Downward button is used to adjust the backlight brightness. When you press Upward/Downward, the backlight brightness increases/decreases.
Downward
Back It is used to return to the previous menu.
When no menu is available, it is used to call out the Image Enhancing function.
Display mode The display mode shortcut button. It is used to switch among the Single, PBP, and PIP modes.
Image Mode The image mode shortcut button.
It is used to switch among the following image modes: DICOM, CT, MRI, DR, DSA, Video, Text, Hybrid GAMMA, and User.
Film viewing indicator It is used to switch among three film clip modes and exit the film clip modes.
Power It is used to enter and exit the standby mode.

Port Function
Power port Connected to the power adapter.
DEBUG 1, 2, 3, and 4 It is used for product debugging and parameter setting.
DP IN, DVI, and HDMI Connected to the digital output port on the graphics card of the PC.
DP OUT It can be connected to DP inputs of other monitors.
USB (downlink port) Connected to the keyboard and mouse only. Output: 5 V, 0.5 A.
It must be used together with the uplink USB port of DEBUG 1.

Hanging Arm Installation

Remove the base assembly to install the required hanging arm or base.

Installation procedure

  1. Place the LCD monitor on a stable bench top covered with a piece of soft cloth, with the panel surface facing down.
  2. Uninstall the base.
    Remove the screw rubber stoppers and unfasten the four fixing screws on the monitor and base by using a screwdriver.
  3. Install the hanging arm or bracket on the monitor.
    Fix the monitor on the hanging arm or base by using the screws specified by the User Guide.

PC Connection

  1. Connect the signal cable
    Check the shape and mark of the signal connection port, connect the signal connection port to a PC signal cable, and tighten the screws of the connector to fix the connection.
    The following takes the DVI and DP signal cables as an example:

  1. Insert the power adapter to the power socket and the power connector on the monitor.
  2. After the power is turned on, the power indicator turns green and the monitor starts to work.

Operational Instructions and Function Adjustment

Menu Adjustment

In the power-on state, press [MENU] to call out the User menu and press [BACK] to close the menu.

The following table lists the configurable items of the menu.

Setting and Adjustment

Press [MENU] on the monitor to call out the User menu.

Press [Upward] or [Downward] to select the main menu item to be adjusted and set and press [Select] to enter the lower-level menu. In each menu, you can perform the following operations:

User Menu-Display Mode

In the power-on state, you can adjust the display mode of the monitor.

Procedure:

  1. In the User menu, press [Upward] or [Downward] to select Display Mode, and then press [Select] to enter the Display Mode sub-menu.
  2. Press [Upward] or [Downward] to select the item to be adjusted and then press [Select]. The system automatically switches to the selected display mode.
  3. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

User Menu-Signal Input

You can set different signal sources for each window in different display modes.

Procedure:

  1. In the User menu, press [Upward] or [Downward] to select Signal Input and then press [Select] to enter the Signal Input sub-menu.
  2. Press [Upward] or [Downward] to select a target display mode and its window.
  3. Press [Select] to enter the signal source list.
  4. On the signal source list page, press [Upward] or [Downward] to select the target signal source, and press [Select]. The system automatically returns to the Signal Input menu.
  5. Press [Back] to return to the User menu.

User Menu-Image Settings

You can set different signal sources for each window in different display modes.

Procedure:

  1. In the User menu, press [Upward] or [Downward] to select Image Settings and then press [Select] to enter the Image Settings menu.
  2. Press [Upward] or [Downward] to select the target item and then press [Select] to enter the corresponding sub-menu.
  3. In the Windows menu, you can select the window you want to set in multi-window mode. The default value is Window 1.
  4. In the Image Mode menu, you can set different image modes for the selected window.
  5. In the Zoom menu, you can set an image zooming mode for the selected window. Options are Full Screen, Scale Screen, and Dot to Dot.
  6. As for the settings of the Backlight menu, see the description below.
  7. In the Image Enhancing menu, six enhancing modes are available. The default value is Off.
  8. In the Advanced Settings menu, you can set Brightness, Contrast, Color Temp., and Gamma.
  9. Press [Back] to return to the User menu.

Note:
Backlight Settings
The Backlight menu supports custom brightness and six default brightness gears. In all image modes, you can input 0-100 under Custom to adjust the brightness. In DICOM mode, you can select among the 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, and 450 (unit: nit) gears.

User Menu-Calibration Settings

In Single mode, this function is used to calibrate and validate the DICOM curve.

Procedure:

  1. In the User menu, press [Upward] or [Downward] to select calibration settings and then press [Select] to enter the calibration settings menu.
  2. Press [Upward] or [Downward] to select the target item and then press [Select] to enter the corresponding sub-menu.
  3. Auto-calibration: In Single mode, this function can be used to calibrate the DICOM curve and query the previous calibration result.
  4. Auto-validation: In Single mode, this function can be used to validate the DICOM curve and query the previous validation result.
  5. Press [Back] to return to the User menu.
    Note:
    1) This function is available only in Single mode.
    2) This function is available 30 minutes after the system is powered on.

User Menu-System Settings

In the power-on state, you can set other functions for the monitor.

Procedure:

  1. In the User menu, press [Upward] or [Downward] to select System Settings and then press [Select] to enter the System Settings menu.
  2. Press [Upward] or [Downward] to select the target item and then press [Select] to enter the corresponding sub-menu.
  3. In the Menu Settings menu, you can set Language, Menu Location, and Menu Transparency.
  4. In the Power menu, you can set the power indicator brightness to High, Low, or Off.
  5. In the Human Sensor menu, you can set the human sensor to On or Off.
  6. In the Ambient Light Sensor menu, you can set the sensor to On or Off.
  7. In the Auto Awake menu, you can set whether to awake the monitor when a DP1 communication signal is coming in the standby state.
  8. In the Monitor Info menu, you can view Version, SN, Product Usage Time, and Backlight Usage Time of the monitor.
  9. In the Multi-Window Settings menu, you can set the mode to Three, Four, or Back to original mode.
  10. In the Logo Set menu, you can set whether to display the logo upon power-on.
  11. In the Factory Reset menu, you can restore the monitor parameters to factory defaults.
  12. Press [Back] to return to the User menu.

Troubleshooting

Before repair, check the following table to see if you can identify the cause of the fault. If the fault persists after you follow the instructions in the User Guide, you can consider repair.

Fault Symptom Solution
The power indicator does not light on.
  • Check whether the power plug is securely connected to the socket.
  • Check whether the power adapter supplies power properly.
  • Ensure that the power adapter parameters meet the requirements of the LCD monitor.
  • Check whether Power is set to Off in the menu.
The power indicator lights on in orange.
  • Check whether the signal cable is securely connected.
  • Check whether the graphics card output resolution of the PC meets the optimal resolution required by the LCD monitor.
  • Disconnect and then reconnect the signal cable, or restart the PC.
The image is blurred, the screen displays interference stripes, or characters show prominent edge colors.
  • Check whether wiring is secure.
  • It is recommended that the connection cables delivered with the LCD monitor be used. Restart the PC.
The image is abnormal.
  • Check whether the output resolution of the graphics card is proper.
  • Select All Reset to restore all image display parameters to the factory defaults.
The entire or part of the screen shows blurs (colored irregular thin stripes). This is due to mismatch between the PC's graphics card output format and that of the LCD monitor. Check the signal output format.
Restart the PC.
The image cannot be displayed in full screen mode, and the screen edge shows blurs. This is due to mismatch between the PC's graphics card output format and that of the LCD monitor. Check the signal output format.

Safety Statement

This device has been tested and proven to meet the requirements of GB4943.1-2011 Safety of Information Technology Equipment, GB9254-2008 Information Technology Equipment - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and method of measurement, and GB17625.1-2012 Electromagnetic compatibility - Limits - Limits for harmonic current emissions (equipment input current ≤ 16 A per phase).

When the LCD monitor is used with a medical imaging system, ensure that the equipment connected to the LCD monitor's signal I/O complies with medical equipment standards.

The electromagnetic waves emitted by power supply equipment may affect the use of the LCD monitor and damage it. Install the device in an environment free of electromagnetic wave interference.

Waste recycling precautions

If the LCD monitor is no longer required or has reached the end of its service life, please abide by the laws and regulations on recycling and treatment of waste electrical and electronic products of your country, and send the LCD monitor to the local manufacturer with state qualification of waste recycling and treatment. The recycling manufacturer shall properly dispose of the components containing harmful substances.

Environmental-friendly service life

The environmental-friendly service life identifier printed on the LCD monitor's nameplate and storage box indicates that the LCD monitor has a 10-year environmental-friendly service life.

Maintenance Disclaimer

Qingdao Hisense Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. guarantees that within five years from the date of purchase, if the buyer uses the product correctly as instructed by the User Guide but encounters equipment failure, parts damage, or monitor brightness not reaching the brightness value recommended in the User Guide, Hisense will repair or replace the product according to its own judgment.

The warranty period is five years from the date of purchase under the circumstance that the product is used with the brightness recommended in the User Guide and that the conditions for maintaining the recommended brightness are guaranteed.

Hisense will not take warranty responsibility for the following situations:

During repair, Hisense and authorized distributors will use replacement parts that meet the quality control standards Hisense. Hisense shall not be liable for the infringement damage caused by the buyer's unreasonable use or unauthorized disassembly, repair, or alteration.

Hisense and authorized distributors, after their repair operations, will not be responsible for any damage or loss of the data or other information stored in any media or any component of any product.

The warranty period of any product that has been installed as a replacement part or repaired based on the instructions of the User Guide will terminate at the end of the original warranty period.
