Introduction

The GRP2616 is a next-generation enterprise IP Phone featuring 6 dual-color line keys, a 4.3" TFT color LCD, 5 programmable soft keys, and an additional 2.4" screen for multi-purpose keys. It includes a USB port, Gigabit network ports, integrated PoE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth support, along with 3-way conferencing and EHS support.

Precautions

WARNING: Do not power cycle the GRP2616 during system boot up or firmware upgrade to avoid corrupting firmware images.

WARNING: Use only the included power adapter. Using an alternative adapter may damage the unit.

Phone Setup

Installing the phone (Wall Mount)

Attach wall mount spacers to the back of the phone. Mount the phone to the wall using the wall mount hole. Adjust the handset cradle tab to secure the handset.

Installing the phone (Phone Stand)

Attach the phone stand to the bottom of the phone.

Connecting the Phone

  1. Connect the handset to the main phone case with the phone cord.
  2. Connect the 12V DC output plug to the phone's power jack and plug the adapter into an electrical outlet. (Skip if using PoE switch).
  3. Network Connection:
    • Using Ethernet: Connect the LAN port to a hub, switch, or router using the Ethernet cable.
    • Using WiFi: Navigate to "System→WiFi settings", enable WiFi, select "Scan", choose your network, and enter the password.
  4. Wait for the date/time display to show up after provisioning or firmware upgrade.
  5. Configure the phone using the embedded web server or keypad menu (Static IP or DHCP).

Using a Web Browser:

  1. Ensure the phone is powered and connected to the Internet.
  2. Press and hold the "UP" button for 3 seconds to view the IP address.
  3. Enter the IP address in your PC browser.
  4. Log in using the admin username and password (default: username "admin", password on the unit's sticker).

Using the Keypad:

  1. Ensure the phone is idle.
  2. Press the MENU key to access the configuration menu.
  3. Navigate to MENU → Phone → SIP → Account to configure SIP Proxy, Outbound Proxy, SIP User ID, SIP Auth ID, and SIP Password.
  4. Follow menu options to configure basic features like static IP. Refer to the GRP2600 series User Manual for details.
  5. Contact your ITSP for additional settings.

Common Part

This equipment complies with radiation exposure limits for an uncontrolled environment. It must not be co-located or operated with any other antenna or transmitter and should be installed with a minimum distance of 20cm from the radiator and your body.

U.S. FCC Part 68 Regulatory Information

This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules. The ACTA registration number and ringer equivalence number (REN) are on the equipment label. The REN determines the quantity of devices that can be connected to a telephone line. The sum of RENs should not exceed five (5.0) in most areas. Contact the telephone company for the maximum REN for your calling area.

This equipment cannot be used on telephone company-provided coin service. Connection to Party Line Service is subject to State Tariffs.

The telephone company may notify you in advance if temporary service discontinuance is required due to network issues. You have the right to file a complaint with the FCC if necessary.

The telephone company may make changes that could affect equipment operation, and will provide advance notice for necessary modifications.

If the equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may request its removal until the problem is resolved.

This equipment uses USOC jacks: RJ45C.

It is recommended to install an AC surge arrester to protect against local lightning strikes and electrical surges.

The earpiece has HAC function and is easy to scratch; handle with care.
