Functions
BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove any promotional materials and packaging before use.
- Check that the cooking plates are clean and free of dust. If necessary, wipe with a damp cloth.
- A fine smoke haze may be noticed during the first use; this is caused by the heating of components and requires no concern.
TOASTED SANDWICH
- Insert the power plug into a 230V or 240V power outlet and turn the power ON. The red 'POWER' light will illuminate.
- Allow the sandwich press to pre-heat with the top plate closed until the green 'READY' light illuminates.
- Prepare the sandwich while pre-heating. Once pre-heated, place the sandwich onto the bottom cooking plate, towards the rear.
- Close the top cooking plate. The floating hinge ensures even pressing. (See Fig. 1)
- Toasting typically takes 5-8 minutes, varying by taste, bread type, and filling.
- When cooked, use the handle to open the press and raise the top plate. Remove the sandwich with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use metal tongs or a knife, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
? NOTE:
- Always allow the sandwich press to pre-heat until the green 'READY' light illuminates.
- The safety locking storage clip should not be used to clamp the top plate down when sandwiches are inside. The top plate's weight will gradually press the sandwich.
- A fine smoke haze during the first use is normal and caused by component heating.
⚠️ CAUTION: HOT SURFACE - Accessible surfaces may be hot during and after operation.
Ensure the power cord is fully unwound before use.
The Adjustable Height Control allows the top plate to be positioned at various heights above the bottom plate. This enables use as an open toaster for melts or for toasting without applying top plate weight.

OPEN SANDWICH MELTS
- Allow the sandwich press to pre-heat until the green 'READY' light illuminates.
- Place the sandwich to be melted on the bottom plate.
- Move the Adjustable Height Control clip on the right side to the desired height. (See Fig. 2)
- Slowly lower the top plate until it rests on the clip.
- The top plate will radiate heat to melt ingredients like cheese.
- Toasting melts takes approximately 3-4 minutes, varying by taste and top plate height.
[Diagram: Fig. 2 showing the Adjustable Height Control clip and its settings.]
Adjustable Height Control: Toasts or melts any bread thickness in minutes. ↕️
? NOTE: The Adjustable Height Control can be moved to accommodate thick or thin melts by sliding the clip forwards or backwards along the arm.
Tips
BREAD
Most bread types are suitable: white, wholemeal, kibbled wheat, wholegrain, raisin loaf, etc. The press is ideal for foccacia, Turkish bread, baguettes, and bread rolls. Sweet breads with high sugar content (e.g., raisin bread, brioche) may brown quicker.
FILLINGS
Use canned or pre-cooked fruit to avoid excessive juices from fresh fruit. Be cautious when eating sandwiches with fillings like cheese, tomato, or jam, as they retain heat and can cause burns if consumed too quickly.
TOASTING BREAD
The flat plate design is excellent for toasting plain breads and Turkish bread without fillings or spreads. Toasting Turkish bread with jam offers a tasty breakfast alternative.
FAT FREE SNACKS
Due to the non-stick plate design, butter or margarine is not required on the outside of snacks.

Care & Cleaning
Before cleaning, switch off at the power outlet and remove the plug. Allow the sandwich press to cool; it is easier to clean when slightly warm.
Clean after each use to prevent baked-on food buildup. Wipe cooking plates with a soft cloth. For stubborn food, reheat the unit for 1-2 minutes, brush with a little oil or melted butter, let stand for five minutes, then wipe with a damp cloth.
? NOTE:
- The cooking plates have a non-stick surface; do not use abrasives.
- Do not use spray-on non-stick coatings, as this will affect the performance of the plates.
STORAGE
- Switch off at the power outlet and unplug the power cord.
- Allow the sandwich press to cool completely.
- Slide the Adjustable Height Control towards the front handle to the 'LOCK' position to secure the top and bottom cooking plates together. (See Fig. 4)
- Wrap the power cord in the cord storage area below the appliance. (See Fig. 5)
- Store on a flat, dry, level surface.
? NOTE: The storage clip should not be used to clamp the top plate down when sandwiches are in the press.
⚠️ WARNING: Do not immerse any part of the sandwich press in water or any other liquid.
