This document provides step-by-step instructions for updating the system BIOS on Intel® Compute Stick devices using the Intel® Express BIOS Update utility within Windows.
Important Notes
- Downgrading the BIOS is not recommended and may not be supported.
- Ensure a stable power supply during the update process.
- Record current BIOS settings before updating to restore them later.
- Images are for illustration; select the correct BIOS files for your specific Intel® Compute Stick model.
Update Process
All necessary BIOS update files for Intel® Compute Stick products are available on the Intel Download Center: downloadcenter.intel.com.
- Download and save the Express BIOS update file (e.g., SCCHTAX5.86A.0019.EB.EXE) to a temporary directory on the target computer.
- Double-click the downloaded file to launch the Intel® Integrator Toolkit BIOS Installer.
- Follow the on-screen prompts, accepting the software license agreement.
- Click "Restart and Install BIOS" to initiate the update process. The system will shut down and restart.
- During the restart, a status window will display the BIOS flashing progress. Do not power off the computer during this stage.
- Once the update is complete, the computer will boot back into Windows, and a confirmation message will appear.
