Getting Started
Welcome to your new GL-iNet GL-BE3600 / Slate 7 Dual-band Wi-Fi 7 Travel Router. This guide will help you get started.

Setting Up Your Router
Method 1: Set Up Your Router Using the Web Admin Panel
Power On
Connect your router to a power supply. Your router will broadcast two Wi-Fi signals: 2.4G with SSID GL-BE3600-xxx and 5G with SSID GL-BE3600-xxx-5G.

Connect Your Device to Router
Via Wi-Fi
You can connect using a QR code or manual login:
- Use QR Code: Scan the QR code printed on the bottom of the router. Click 'Join' in the pop-up window to connect.

- Manual Login: Find and connect to GL-BE3600-xxx on your device. Enter the default password printed on the router to join the network.

Via LAN
Plug the Ethernet cable connecting your computer into the router's LAN port.

- Use QR Code: Scan the QR code printed on the bottom of the router. Click 'Join' in the pop-up window to connect.
Set Up Router
In a web browser, visit http://192.168.8.1 to set up your router. You will be prompted to choose your preferred language.
Method 2: Set Up Your Router Using the GL.iNet APP
Scan the QR code or search "glinet" in your app store to download and install the GL.iNet app.

Log in to your account, choose to add a new device, and follow the in-app instructions to set up your router.
Repair / Reset
- To repair your network: Press and hold the Reset button until the touch screen shows "Release to Repair Mode".
- To reset your router to factory settings: Press and hold the Reset button until the touch screen shows "Release to Reset Mode". This action will clear all your existing settings.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your router, this guide will help you resolve common problems.
Unable to Access the Router Admin Panel
- Check if your device has obtained an IP address. If not, try removing and reinserting the Ethernet cable or restarting the network.
- Set your device to "obtain IP address automatically" and "obtain DNS server address automatically".
- If connecting via Ethernet, ensure the network cable is properly plugged into the router's LAN port.
- Verify you enter http://192.168.8.1 correctly in the web address bar.
- Try turning the router off and on again, or perform a restart.
No Internet Access After Setting Up the Router
- Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely plugged into the router's WAN port.
- Connect your device directly to the upstream device via an Ethernet cable to check internet access.
- Ensure your device has obtained an IP address. If using PPPoE dial-up, double-check your username and password.
- If the interface indicates "connected, but the network is unavailable," try removing and reinserting the Ethernet cable or check your upstream device.
Unable to Connect the Router to the GL.iNet App
- Make sure your GL.iNet App is updated to the latest version.
- Confirm your phone is connected to the router's Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure the router is fully powered on and has completed its startup, then try scanning again in the App.
Forgot the Admin Panel Password
- With the router powered on, press and hold the reset button.
- Release the button when the touch screen displays "Release to Reset Mode". Wait for the device to restart and the touch screen to return to the initial interface displaying 'GL.iNet'. (Note: Reset Mode clears all existing settings.)
- After it restarts, log in to the web admin panel (http://192.168.8.1) and reset the router's password.
Forgot the Wi-Fi Network Password
- If you haven't changed the Wi-Fi password, find it on the product label located on the bottom of the router.
- If you have changed the Wi-Fi password, connect your device to the router's web admin panel via an Ethernet cable to view or modify your Wi-Fi password.
Warranty and Compliance
GL.iNet provides a two-year limited warranty for routers and a 3-month limited warranty for accessories. Additional warranty terms may apply based on local law.
The warranty is void if:
- Damage is caused by not following instructions.
- The PCBA, components, or case are modified.
- Issues arise from the use of third-party firmware.
- Damage is caused by inappropriate use (e.g., incorrect voltage, high temperature, water damage, dropping).

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Country Restrictions: The device is restricted for indoor use only in the band 5150-5250 MHz to reduce interference to mobile satellite systems. This restriction applies to all European Union countries for Wireless Access Systems (WAS/RLANs) within the band 5150-5350 MHz.
