INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ET-3R URINAL FLUSH VALVE
Enviro-Tech strongly recommends using a qualified and registered plumber and electrician for installation. Ensure all pipework is flushed adequately, especially in new builds or where lines have been disrupted. Components of sensor products are particularly susceptible to debris and require more thorough flushing than standard plumbing fixtures. IMPORTANT: Flush pipe must be DN20 copper pipe or equivalent. Installation must comply with AS/NZS3500. Incorrect installation is NOT covered by your warranty.

SOLENOID VALVE INSTALLATION
- Flush pipework thoroughly. Failure to do so will result in the solenoid sticking soon after installation, which is NOT covered by your product warranty.
- Attach the bracket, then insert the solenoid valve.
- Connect the water feed to the inlet valve.
- Connect the outlet to the urinal.

SENSOR INSTALLATION
Note: Ceiling must be level. If the ceiling is sloping/pitched, the detection zone will be altered.
For Single Urinals:
- Drill a 70 mm hole in the ceiling, centered on the urinal and 100 mm from the wall/back of the urinal to the center of the sensor.
- Remove the screws from the sensor plate and install the flush box into the ceiling using the screw clips. Ensure the screw holes are aligned as shown.
- Make any required changes to flush time or pre-flush settings (refer to pages 4 & 5). Refix the sensor plate using the 2 screws. Ensure sensor plate screws are parallel to the wall for a single urinal.

For Twin or Trough Urinals:
- Drill a 70 mm hole in the ceiling, centered on the trough or the 2 individual urinals, and 300 mm from the wall/back of the urinal to the center of the sensor.
Ensure sensor plate screws are aligned facing the wall for twin or trough urinals.

CABLE CONNECTIONS OF ET3-R
- Insert and connect the male-to-male connection cable between the sensor and the solenoid (Fig 1).
- Connect the sensor to the transformer using WAGO connectors. Ensure marked taped ends go together in one connector, and unmarked ends go into the other (Fig 1).
- Lock the WAGO connectors and then connect the transformer to mains power (Fig 2). The system will run a test and be ready to use.

DISTANCE
Turn the potentiometer clockwise to increase the sensing distance and anti-clockwise to decrease it.
FACTORY SETTINGS
- Pre-flush is "ON".
- Time is "4".
- "1-10 Jumper Right" is set at 350 kPa, giving a flush volume of 0.8 L for a single urinal.
PRE-FLUSH ON/OFF
- Factory setting is 'ON' with the jumper set to the 'Right'.
- To turn pre-flush 'OFF', set the jumper to the 'Left'.
FULL FLUSH TIME
- Set the jumper to the 'Left' to choose 11-20s (where 20s = 0s).
- Set the jumper to the 'Right' to choose 1-10s (where 10s = 0s).
- Set the coding wheel to the required flush time. Refer to the table on the next page for full details of flush volumes and time setting options for different urinal types.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM | POSSIBLE CAUSE | SOLUTION |
---|---|---|
No water out or will not stop running | Most common: Plugs not connected correctly. No water supply or No Power. | - Check water and power supply. - Unplug all cables, leave unplugged for 5 minutes, then reconnect everything carefully. Clean filter. Clean/replace solenoid. |
Too little water flow | Water pressure is low or turned down. | Adjust/raise the water pressure. |
Flow Valve needs adjusting. The filter or solenoid is blocked. | Adjust flow valve on solenoid. Clean the filter. Clean/replace the solenoid. |
|
Too much water flow | Water pressure is too high. Flow valve needs adjusting. | Adjust/lower the water pressure. Adjust flow valve on solenoid. |
Flush time or sensing distance is not adequate | Sensor requires adjustment. | See the 'Settings' section of this manual for instructions. |
