Important Safety Instructions

DANGER – Any appliance is electrically live even when the switch is off. To reduce the risk of death or injury by electric shock:

WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI): Electricity and water do not mix. A GFCI is a safety device that reacts immediately to a small electric current leak by stopping the electricity flow. If using this appliance in a bathroom, it is strongly recommended to install a GFCI outlet for protection against electric shock.

Operating Instructions

This appliance is intended for household use only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. Designed to operate at 110 to 125 volts AC.

Polarized Plug: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME YOU USE APPLIANCE:

This appliance is equipped with an Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature that renders it inoperable under abnormal conditions, such as immersion in water. To ensure the ALCI is functioning properly, perform the following test before each use:

  1. Plug in the appliance and press the [ALCI Test Button] on the plug.
  2. The appliance will stop working. You will hear an audible click and the reset button will pop out.
  3. To reset the ALCI, unplug the unit, push the reset button in, and then reinsert the plug into the outlet.
  4. If the ALCI is not functioning properly, return the appliance to a service center.
  5. If the appliance falls into water, do not try to reset it; return it to a service center.
  6. Be sure to repeat this test every time you use the unit to confirm the ALCI is operational.

Should the appliance go off and the reset button pop up during use, this could indicate a malfunction. Remove the plug from the outlet, allow the appliance to cool, and then reinsert the plug. If the appliance does not function normally, return it to an authorized Conair Service Center for evaluation and repair.

Technology Explained

Natural Tourmaline Ionic Technology: Many aspects of modern living contribute to static electricity in hair, causing a dull appearance and making hair flyaway and difficult to style. Natural ions help neutralize static charge, smoothing the cuticle for shiny, smooth, and manageable hair.

Tourmaline Ceramic Technology: The rotating barrels deliver even, tourmaline ceramic heat, eliminating damaging hot spots for beautiful frizz-free shine.

Protective Covers: After every use, place the protective shield over the brush head to protect the bristles.

Instructions for Use

If you have long or thick hair, pre-drying with a hairdryer to remove excess moisture can make styling quicker and easier. Turn your head upside down as you dry for added volume.

Once the hair is approximately 80% dry, begin styling with the InfinitiPro by Conair Spin Air Brush.

Styling Tips For Maximum Volume and Body

  1. Turn the appliance on and select the correct heat setting for your hair type.
  2. Section the hair. Ensure hair is detangled by combing through it.
  3. Place the appliance into the hair, close to the roots, and brush through the section.
  4. Move the brush through the hair toward the ends. As you reach the end of the section, start to rotate the brush away from your head by pressing and holding the appropriate rotate button.
  5. Create tension by pulling the brush downward slightly. This tension helps to smooth hair faster. IMPORTANT: It may take several attempts to perfect this technique. If the brush spins too quickly, release the rotation button and remove the styler from the hair.
  6. For added root lift, hold the brush in place at the root for a few seconds.
  7. For even more volume, allow the brush to rotate, winding the section of hair around the barrel. Release the rotate button and leave the brush in the hair for a few seconds. Use the cool setting to set the style.
  8. To release the section, press and hold the opposite rotation button to unwind the hair section.
  9. Repeat as necessary.
  10. For less volume, follow the same steps but use without the spin function.
  11. After use, switch off and unplug the appliance.
  12. Allow to cool before storing.
  13. Place the protective shield over the brush head to protect the bristles.

Helpful Hints and Tips

Cleaning & Maintenance

User Maintenance

Your hot air styler is virtually maintenance-free and requires no lubrication. For proper operating performance, keep the styler clean. When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord, allow it to cool, and clean dust and lint from air intake openings with a small brush or the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The outer surface should be wiped clean with a cloth only.

Blocked or clogged air intake vents can cause the hot air styler to overheat. If overheating occurs, an automatic safety device will shut the styler or the heat off to prevent damage or personal injury. If the unit or heat turns off, unplug the cord and allow the styler to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting. Ensure the air vents are clean.

Caution

NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord tightly around the hot air styler, as damage can occur at the flex point, causing rupture or short circuits. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if damage is visible or the unit stops or operates intermittently.

If the cord or hot air styler is damaged or does not operate properly, return it for repair to an authorized Conair service representative only. Do not attempt consumer repairs.

Storage

When not in use, your hot air styler should be disconnected, allowed to cool, and stored in a safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do not wrap the line cord around the hot air styler. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of entry into the hot air styler.
