Safety Instructions
- Read and follow all safety instructions provided in this manual.
- Use the product only with the supplied power adapter.
- Be cautious of static electricity during installation and use. Keep the product away from sharp objects or strong corrosive chemicals.
- Remove nails, screws, or other conductive objects from the installation surface before attaching the light strip to prevent short circuits.
- Do not install the light strip near heat sources.
- Do not allow children to install the light strips by themselves.
- Avoid installing light strips near potentially hazardous sources (e.g., candles, objects filled with liquid, etc.).
- Unroll the light strip before turning it on.
- Please turn off the power and unplug the adapter if you will not be using the light strips for an extended period.
- Recommended operating temperature: 0°C to 40°C.
- Storage temperature: -20°C to 60°C.
- Do not stick the light strips on glass surfaces.
- This strip cannot be cut.

Control Box Functions
The control box has the following functions:
- ZAP/VYP (On/Off): Press to turn the light strip on or off.
- Change Color: Press to cycle through different colors.
- Music Mode: Press the button to switch to music mode.
- Brightness Adjustment: Press and hold the button to adjust brightness levels.
Power On Test
Perform this test before installation:
- Unpack the box and check all items.
- Turn on the light strip and check if it lights up. Warning: Do not turn on the light strip until it is unrolled.
Installation Steps
Warning: Do not connect the power adapter during installation and connection of the light strips, except for step 6.
- Clean the wall surface to remove dust particles.
- Choose a power outlet and a location for the control box, ensuring the light strip is long enough. Tear off the adhesive on the back of the control box and stick it to the wall surface. For easier installation, do not connect the control box to the adapter in this step.
- Ensure the light strip is firmly connected to the control box.
- Tear off the adhesive on the back of the light strip and connector. Stick the light strip to the wall surface and press firmly to ensure it is securely attached.
- If it is necessary to bend the strip, try to avoid the electronic components, such as LED beads and pads on the light strip, to prevent damage.
- Connect the adapter to the control box and plug it into the electrical outlet.
- The strip can be shortened to a minimum length of 3m. Cut the strip along the marked lines. Ensure the strip is turned off before cutting.
Tips for Installation:
- For a better music mode experience, it is recommended to place the control box near the sound source.
- For secure attachment of the light strip, please use the provided mounting clips/holders at the head/end and at bending points.
Diagram Descriptions for Bending:
Correct Bending: The diagrams show bending the LED strip with a large radius, avoiding the LED beads and connection pads. This protects the strip and its electronic components.
Incorrect Bending: The diagrams show sharp bends, especially near the LED beads or connection pads, which can cause damage or short circuits. A cross symbol (❌) indicates incorrect methods.
Pairing Your Device with the Govee Home App
To pair, you will need:
- A WiFi router supporting 2.4GHz and 802.11 b/g/n bands. 5GHz band is not supported.
- A smartphone or tablet with iOS 8.0 (or higher) or Android 4.3 (or higher).
- Download the Govee Home app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Open the app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner, and search for "H612C".
- Tap the device icon and follow the on-screen instructions to complete pairing.
Voice Control
- Open the app and tap the device icon to go to the details page.
- Tap the settings icon in the top right corner.
- Select "Using Guidance" and follow the on-screen instructions to control the device by voice.
Troubleshooting
LED Strips Not Working
- Check if you are using the supplied original adapter.
- Turn the light strip off and on again. Ensure the adapter and control box are powered on.
- To reset to factory settings: Press and hold the power button on the control box and quickly press the middle button four times.
Light Strip Does Not Display Full Color / Some LEDs Do Not Light Up
- Please contact Govee technical support or your retailer.
Cannot Connect to Govee Home App
- Do not skip Bluetooth connection steps in the app.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Your smartphone may not be compatible with the Govee Home app. Try using a different smartphone.
- Turn the light strip and Bluetooth on your smartphone off and on again.
- When connecting, ensure your smartphone is within 1 meter of the light strip.
- Remove any obstacles between the light strip and your smartphone.
Cannot Connect to WiFi
- During setup, do not skip any steps for WiFi connection. Ensure you have entered the correct WiFi name and password according to the app instructions.
- 5GHz WiFi is not supported. Connect the light strip to the 2.4G WiFi band and restart the router.
- Use your smartphone to check if the WiFi connection is stable.
- Change the WiFi password to a shorter one. We recommend using a combination of up to 8 digits and letters.
- The light strips may not be compatible with your router. Try connecting the light strips to your smartphone's hotspot.
Cannot Connect to Amazon Alexa
- Disconnect all connecting parts of the light strips and then reconnect them firmly.
- Reset WiFi on your smartphone.
- Disconnect the adapter port and reconnect it.
Matter Protocol Communication
Note:
- For the first use of the Matter protocol, network connection must be completed with Matter-supporting apps (e.g., Google Home/Apple HomeKit, etc.) within 15 minutes after powering on.
- IPv6 network is required.
- Changing networks may cause the Matter protocol to malfunction.
- If the product cannot connect to the app, press and hold the product's power button and click the second button four times in succession to restore factory settings. Then try connecting again later.
Step 1
Find the QR code on the right or the Matter protocol number on the product or in the device settings page in the Govee Home app.
Step 2
Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
Step 3
Download and open an app that supports the Matter protocol, such as Google Home, Apple HomeKit, etc.
Step 4
Using the QR code or device number on the product, complete the Matter protocol network connection for the product in the app.
