Installing and Using the Product
Step 1: Connect the LG WOWCAST to your TV via an HDMI cable.
The LG WOWCAST unit (A) connects to the TV via an HDMI cable. The TV is shown with an HDMI IN (eARC/ARC) port. The LG WOWCAST has HDMI IN (eARC/ARC) and USB ports. The sound bar (B) is shown connected to the TV, potentially wirelessly. A Remote Control Receiver / Status Display (C) is shown. A Wireless Subwoofer (D) is shown, recommended to be placed near the sound bar.
Step 2: Connect the LG WOWCAST to your TV via a USB cable for power supply.
You can also connect to an electrical outlet for a stable power supply.
Step 3: Install the LG WOWCAST on the rear panel of your TV.
Attach the provided double-sided foam tape to the LG WOWCAST and affix it to the rear panel of the TV.
Step 4: Set your TV's output speaker to [HDMI ARC].
Step 5: Turn on the sound bar.
When the connection is automatically established with the LG WOWCAST and the sound bar, "LG WOWCAST" scrolls on the sound bar display, followed by "ARC" or "E-ARC" on its status display.
Manually Connecting the LG WOWCAST to the Sound Bar
If automatic connection fails, the sound bar may need to be reset and firmware updated. Connect them in the following order:
- Press and hold the RESET button on the LG WOWCAST for 3 seconds.
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button or Mic mute button on the sound bar for 3 seconds to reset it.
- Connect the sound bar to your smartphone using the LG Sound Bar app. If you don't have the app, download it from Google Play or the App Store and install it.
- Run the LG Sound Bar app and follow the instructions. The sound bar will connect to your smartphone and update automatically. Once connected, "LG WOWCAST" scrolls, followed by "ARC" or "E-ARC" on the sound bar's status display.
Connecting to the TV
You can enjoy the sound by connecting LG WOWCAST to the sound bar wirelessly.
Supported LG Wi-Fi Sound Bar Models
LG WOWCAST is compatible only with select LG Wi-Fi sound bar models. It is not compatible with sound bars from other companies. For a list of compatible models, please scan the QR code (QR codes are excluded from this HTML output).
Connecting LG WOWCAST Automatically
After installation, LG WOWCAST connects automatically to the sound bar. Follow these steps:
Step 1: HDMI Connection
Connect the HDMI TV (e)ARC terminal on the LG WOWCAST to the HDMI IN eARC/ARC terminal on the TV using an HDMI cable.
Step 2: USB Power Connection
Connect the USB Type-C plug of the LG WOWCAST to its USB terminal, and the standard Type-A plug to your TV's USB terminal using a USB cable.
Step 3: Mounting the LG WOWCAST
Install the LG WOWCAST on the rear panel of your TV. Attach the double-sided foam tape to the LG WOWCAST and fix it to the TV's rear panel.
Step 4: Select Audio Output on Sound Bar
Press the Function/F button on the sound bar remote repeatedly until "OPT/HDMI ARC" appears on the status display.
Step 5: Set TV Audio Output
On your TV's settings, set the output speaker to [HDMI ARC].
Step 6: Confirmation of Connection
When automatically connected, "LG WOWCAST" scrolls on the sound bar, followed by "ARC" or "E-ARC" on its status display.
Notes
- Before attaching LG WOWCAST, wipe the area with a soft cloth (e.g., gauze).
- Ensure the LG WOWCAST does not block the TV's ventilation holes.
- Set HDMI-CEC to [On] in your TV settings (options may vary by manufacturer).
- Sound output timing may differ by TV. Consider using a separate adapter instead of TV USB for power; some quick-charge adapters may cause issues.
- If optical and LG WOWCAST signals attempt to connect simultaneously, LG WOWCAST takes priority.
- If the sound bar was powered off by unplugging or holding the Power button, wait about 1 minute after turning it back on for connection.
- LG WOWCAST outputs audio only. Connect external devices to the TV for video.
- Do not connect the sound bar and TV with an HDMI cable if LG WOWCAST is connected via HDMI eARC/ARC, as this may cause malfunction.
- Install the TV and sound bar close to each other for optimal wireless performance.
- If the product malfunctions or to reinstall, reset both LG WOWCAST and the sound bar and try reconnecting.
- Software updates for LG WOWCAST may occur ("W-UPDATE" on sound bar display). The WOWCAST will restart after updates.
- If the sound bar connects to Wi-Fi while using WOWCAST, it may switch to Wi-Fi mode. Press Function/F and select "OPT/HDMI ARC" to return to TV sound.
- The product will update automatically to enhance its lifecycle.
Checking Connection Status via LED
LED Status:
- Blinking: Connecting in progress
- On: Connected successfully
- Off: No power supply
Connecting LG WOWCAST Manually
Step a: Check Sound Bar Update
Press the [reset/Wi-Fi] or Mic mute button on the remote control for 3 seconds. If "LG WOWCAST READY" is displayed, proceed to step d.
Step b: Reset Sound Bar
Press and hold the Wi-Fi button or Mic mute button on the sound bar for 3 seconds.
Step c: Install LG Sound Bar App
Use the QR code to install the LG Sound Bar app. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and add the sound bar via the app (QR codes are excluded from this HTML output).
Step d: Connect LG WOWCAST to TV
Connect using HDMI and USB cables. Refer to "Connecting LG WOWCAST Automatically" on page 6.
Step e: Select Audio Output on Sound Bar
Press the Function/F button on the sound bar remote until "OPT/HDMI ARC" appears on the status display.
Step f: Set TV Audio Output
In TV settings, select [HDMI ARC] as the output speaker.
Step g: Confirm Connection
When automatically connected, "LG WOWCAST" scrolls on the sound bar, followed by "ARC" or "E-ARC" on its status display.
Resetting the Products
If LG WOWCAST or the sound bar is frozen or not working, reset both. After resetting the sound bar, reconnect it to your smartphone.
How to Reset
- Press and hold the RESET button on the LG WOWCAST for 3 seconds. The LED will blink.
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button or Mic mute button on the sound bar until a sound signal is heard. "RESET" will appear on the display, clearing wireless network settings.
Note
After resetting the sound bar, reconnect it to your smartphone via Wi-Fi using the LG Sound Bar app.

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol ⚡ indicates the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage.
The exclamation point symbol ❗ indicates important operating and maintenance instructions.
WARNING:
- ⚡ To prevent fire or electric shock hazard, do not expose this product to rain or moisture.
- Do not install this equipment in a confined space, such as a bookcase.
Additional Cautions:
- Do not place naked flame sources (e.g., candles) on the apparatus.
- Do not expose the apparatus to water (dripping or splashing) or place liquid-filled objects (e.g., vases) on it.
- To avoid fire or electric shock, do not open the unit; contact qualified personnel.
- Do not place the unit near heating appliances, in direct sunlight, or expose it to moisture or mechanical shock.
- Do not use volatile liquids like insecticide spray near the unit. Strong wiping may damage the surface. Avoid prolonged contact with rubber or plastic products.
- Do not place the unit on unstable surfaces like high shelves, as it may fall due to sound vibrations.
- Do not use high voltage products (e.g., electric swatters) nearby, as this may cause malfunction due to electrical shock.
- Refer to the main label for safety marking, product identification, and supply ratings.
Caution in Low Humidity Environments:
- Low humidity can cause static electricity. It is recommended to touch a metal object that conducts electricity before using the product.

Troubleshooting
If you experience issues, perform these checks:
General Errors
Issue: LG WOWCAST does not work properly
Solution:
- Check if the TV is properly connected to the LG WOWCAST with a cable.
- Check if the TV sound output is set to [HDMI ARC].
- Reset the LG WOWCAST and the sound bar, then reconnect them. Refer to "Connecting LG WOWCAST manually" on page 8.

When Shipping the Product
Save original shipping carton and packing materials. Repack the product as originally packed for maximum protection.
Keeping Exterior Surfaces Clean
- Do not use volatile liquids like insecticide spray near the product.
- Wiping with strong pressure may damage the surface.
- Do not leave rubber or plastic products in contact with the product for extended periods.
Cleaning the Product
Use a soft, dry cloth. For very dirty surfaces, use a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution.
Avoid strong solvents like alcohol, benzine, or thinner, as they may damage the surface.
