System Riser Diagram
This section illustrates typical system configurations for the Athena touchscreen.
Configuration 1: Centralized PoE
An Athena Edge processor (QP5) is connected to a PoE switch. The PoE switch provides power and communication to multiple Athena touchscreens via Ethernet connections. An optional Lutron Q-POE-PNL can also serve as a PoE power source, connecting to the PoE switch and then to the Athena touchscreens. All components are connected via Ethernet, adhering to IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at standards.
Configuration 2: Distributed PoE
An Athena Edge processor (QP5) is connected to a network backbone. Multiple PoE switches are also connected to this network. Each PoE switch then powers and communicates with Athena touchscreens. This configuration allows for distributed power and data delivery across a larger network. All connections are Ethernet, adhering to IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at standards.
The diagrams visually represent these two configurations, showing the QP5 processor, PoE switches, Q-POE-PNL (optional), and Athena touchscreens interconnected via Ethernet cables, with a 'floor' or 'network' backbone indicated.
