Installation Overview

The installation process for BrosTrend WiFi adapters (models AC1L, AC3L, and AC5L) on supported Linux distributions is detailed here. All drivers and the installer are open-source under the GPL license. It is recommended to fully update and reboot your system before proceeding to avoid potential kernel compatibility issues.

Installation Steps

1. Ensure an active internet connection is available for downloading drivers and dependencies. A wired LAN connection or USB tethering is recommended.
2. Insert the BrosTrend WiFi adapter into a USB port.
3. Copy the provided installation command to your clipboard.
4. Execute the command using your distribution's command execution dialog (Alt+F2) or a terminal. The installer requires root privileges and will prompt for your password.
5. The installer will download and install the necessary drivers. A reboot may be required in some cases.
