PORTABLE PLAYER & LCD TELEVISION

Please read this user manual carefully before attempting to use the unit!

Introduction

Dear customer, Thanks for choosing and buying our portable player & TFT television. Please read this user manual carefully before you use it, it can tell you how to use it and make you operate it more expediently.

Cautions

  • Please read the user manual carefully before opening the package of this unit, and should comply with all practice manuals and cautions.
  • For the risk of high voltage, do not repair it by yourself. All service and adjustments only to qualified service personnel.
  • The adaptor must consist with the category of tags and the special power. The using method please refer to the power user manual.
  • The unit should be used with the corresponding power, please check silk-screen on the back of the unit.
  • Do not place the unit near sofa or window curtain or explore to sunshine or wetly place, and avoid dropping or striking.
  • Pick off the jack from the power jack when cleaning it. Do not use thinner or other chemical detergents. Use a soft cloth to wipe.
  • If not using the unit for a long time or during thunder rainy weather, please pick off the jack from the power jack.

Power Selection and Caution

AC Adapter: Use 100V-240V AC power with the supplied AC adapter (please refer to the instruction table of the adapter).

Car Charger: Use a car adapter (adapting negative grounding) to supply power for the unit (only an automobile adapter with 12V power output is fit for this unit).

External Signal Input/Output Function

Receiving ATSC TV Programs

Connect an external antenna or cable signals to the radio input jack of the display using a 75Ω coaxial cable. Press the [input] button; the ATSC signal is connected when the screen shows ATSC. If this is your first time watching TV, please perform an automatic channel search.

AV Signal Input & Output

Connect the AV line to the panel AV Input jack or Output jack connected with another AV output jack or AV input. Then press the [input] button; the AV signal is connected when the screen shows AV.

USB/SD Card

Insert the USB/TF card into the machine and choose the USB/Card mode to play the contents.

VGA

Video Graphics Array is a graphics standard for personal computers and associated connectors.

HD IN

Connect the HD-line to the machine to get HD input for playing video.

Basic Operation of Remote Control

Remote Control Panel and Instruction

Notes:

  • Aim the remote control at the receiver infrared on the television when in use.
  • Avoid pressing, dropping, moistening, or disassembling the remote control.
  • Avoid pressing buttons continuously and quickly. The interval between two operations must be at least 2 seconds.

Remote Batteries: Seven carton environmental protection battery.

1. Remote Operation on ATSC/AV/HD-IN/PC-RGB/DMP State:

  • [POWER]: Press the button to turn off the television display; press it again to turn on. Please turn the main power switch off when the television is not to be used for a long period.
  • [MUTE]: Press this button to mute sound. Press again or press the volume increase or decrease buttons to resume normal operation.
  • [VOL+] / [VOL-]: Press [VOL+] button to increase the television volume. Press [VOL-] button to decrease the television volume.
  • [CH+] / [CH-]: Press [CH+] button to increase the channel number. Press [CH-] button to decrease the channel number.
  • [RETURN]: Press the button to return to the previous menu display.
  • [INPUT]: Press the button to change the state among different states.
  • [navigation-arrows]: Direction buttons.
  • [MENU]: Menu button.

2. Operation Instruction on ATSC

Connect an Audio/Video Input Device

Remote Operation on ATSC:

  • [SUB]: To display or hide the subtitle.
  • [SEARCH]: Panel auto search button.
  • [MENU]: Menu key.
  • [EPG]: Shows EPG Guide.
  • [CH-] / [CH+]: Channel changing or direction button.
  • [◄] / [►]: Volume changing or direction button.
  • [ENTER]: Confirm.
  • [RETURN]: To return to sub menu or quit setup.
  • [DASH]: Represents '.', use with numeric keys, such as '2.0'.
  • [CC]: Closed Caption.
  • [Fav]: Favorite channel.
  • [Info]: Program's info.
  • [AUDIO]: To change audio channel.
  • [previous] / [next]: Video rewind / video fast forward.
  • [ZOOM]: Image zoom in.
  • [DEL]: Delete files.

3. System Menu Setup Adjustments

A. Press [MENU] to enter System Setup.

B. Press direction keys to select each section.

C. Press [◄]/[►]/[ENTER] to go to sub menu and select items of menu.

D. Choose the item and press [ENTER] to confirm; the system will adjust.

E. Press [MENU] to return to the upper menu.

F. Press [RETURN] to exit setup.

(1) CHANNEL MENU

Operation on Search Program:

  1. Select ATSC mode.
  2. Press [MENU] button, select Auto search/ATSC Manual Search/AV Manual Search to Search Program.
  3. Select Auto Search, select Search Type (ATSC is available). Then select the country you live in, press [ENTER] to start Auto search.

After Auto Scan, press [CH+]/[CH-] to choose the program as you like.

Channel Edit: Set channel information.

Signal Information: Check TV signal information.

Attention: If words are in gray state, it means they cannot be adjusted in the current state. Please turn to the exact state to adjust.

How to run auto channel scan procedure:

  1. Press [MENU] button.
  2. Select 'CHANNEL', then get into Air/Cable.
  3. Press [◄] or [►] to select Air mode or Cable mode.
  4. After decision, press [channel-down] to select Auto Scan.
  5. Finally, press [ENTER]; the device will start to run the auto channel scan procedure.

(2) PICTURE MENU

Press [MENU] to display the main menu, and press [▼]/[▲] to select the Picture Menu.

  • Picture Mode: Personal/Dynamic/Standard/Mild
  • Color Temperature: Personal/Cold/Normal/Warm
  • Noise Reduction: Low/Middle/High/Off
  • Screen: This function can be operated when the TV is under PC-RGB mode, used to adjust the screen.

(3) SOUND MENU

Press [MENU] to display the main menu, and press [▼]/[▲] to select the Sound Menu.

  • Sound Mode: Standard/Music/Movie/Sports/Personal. When Sound Mode is set to USER, you can adjust Treble and Bass.
  • Balance: Adjust the level of sound coming from the left and right speakers.
  • Auto Volume: When set on, quick volume changes will be smoothed.
  • Surround Sound: SURROUND/OFF.

(4) TIME MENU

Press [MENU] to display the main menu, and press [▼]/[▲] to select the Time Menu.

  • Clock: Adjust time in clock section: Date/Month/Year/Hour/Minute.
  • Off Time: Select the time when the TV will count down 60 seconds to turn off the power.
  • On Time: Select the time in minutes after which the TV will power off (Sleep).
  • Sleep Timer: 240/180/120/90/60/30/20/10 mins.
  • Auto Sleep: Off/5Hours/4Hours/3Hours.

(5) OPTION MENU

Press [MENU] to display the main menu, and press [▼]/[▲] to select the OPTION menu.

  • OSD Language: Set the OSD display language.
  • Audio Language: Set the audio language.
  • Subtitle Language: Set the subtitle language.
  • Restore Default: Restores all settings to default state.
  • Setup Wizard: User can use this function to customize the ways of channels searching.

(6) LOCK MENU

Press [MENU] to display the main menu, and press [▼]/[▲] to select the LOCK menu.

Before going to setup, press the default password (0000) to enter setup.

  • Lock System: Enter password to lock important system settings like program search, restore default. Password is required before setup.
  • Cancel LOCK: Set to Off.
  • Set Password: You can set a new password after inputting the old password.
  • Block Channel: Set channels that you want to block.

US/Canada: The TV must be in ATSC mode for channel locking.

4. Multimedia State

Press [INPUT] to show the input source list, then press [▼]/[▲] to select and [ENTER] to confirm. This will display the multimedia state.

The color of the icon indicates whether your TV has detected a USB memory device: Yellow means Yes; Gray means No.

Press [◄]/[►] to select the Photo/Music/Movie/Text icon and press [ENTER] to enter the USB memory for details.

(1) PHOTO PLAY

  1. Insert the USB device into the USB jack.
  2. Press [◄]/[►] to choose PHOTO, press [ENTER] to submenu.
  3. Choose 'C', then press [ENTER] to submenu.
  4. Choose the photo you like, press [play] to play, press [previous] to play the last photo, press [next] to play the next photo.
  5. Press [return] to quit.

(2) MUSIC PLAY

  1. Insert the USB device into the USB jack.
  2. Press [◄]/[►] to choose MUSIC, press [ENTER] to submenu.
  3. Choose 'C', then press [ENTER] to submenu.
  4. Choose the music you like, press [play] to play, press [previous] to play the last music, press [next] to play the next music.
  5. Press [return] to quit.

(3) MOVIE PLAY

  1. Insert the USB device into the USB jack.
  2. Press [◄]/[►] to choose MOVIE, press [ENTER] to submenu.
  3. Choose 'C', then press [ENTER] to submenu.
  4. Choose the movie you like, press [play] to play, press [previous] to play the last chapter, press [next] to play the next chapter.
  5. Press [return] to quit.

(4) TEXT PLAY

  1. Insert the USB device into the USB jack.
  2. Press [◄]/[►] to choose TEXT, press [ENTER] to submenu.
  3. Choose 'C', then press [ENTER] to submenu.
  4. Choose the TXT file you like, press [play] to play, press [previous] to play the last page, press [next] to play the next page.
  5. Press [previous text] to play the last text, press [next text] to play the next text.
  6. Press [return] to quit.

Supersonic Inc. ('Supersonic') warrants this product to the original purchaser ONLY, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for ninety (90) DAYS from the date of original purchase. Proof of purchase (receipt) required.

Before Request for Repair Service

The following phenomena do not indicate that the display is faulty. Before requesting repair service, please follow the listed methods to check it.

TV no pictureWhether channel is selected correctly. Staying in multimedia state, change to TV state.
No soundWhether audio volume is off or audio system is improperly set.
Vague picture or unstable pictureWhether the antenna is correctly adjusted. The grounding signal is too weak.
Duplicated picturesReflective signals from nearby buildings or high reflective signals are picked up.
Snowflake interferenceAffected by electric wave interference from vehicle motors, trains, high-voltage power wires, or neon lights.
No colorWhether color is adjusted correctly. Whether color system is set correctly. Poor signal. Whether color elimination function is on.
Do not play USBAffirm USB is inserted into the jack according to the right way. Affirm memory format is right.
