Installation Instructions

⚠️ WARNING: Please ensure installation is performed in a clean, dry environment. All cable ends must be protected from moisture. Follow instructions carefully.

⚠️ WARNING: The purchaser must inform the manufacturer of any external effects or aggressive substances the equipment may be exposed to.

General Requirements:

Step-by-Step Installation (Textual Description of Diagrams):

Preparation:

Diagram 1L: Shows preparing the cable end. A heat shrink sleeve (D) is slid onto the cable (E).
Diagram 2L: Shows preparing the cable ends for splicing. The outer jacket is stripped back approximately 140 mm. The inner insulation is also stripped. The conductive braid is exposed.
Diagram 3L: Shows separating the conductive braid. The braid is carefully separated into two halves. A portion of the inner insulation is cut back approximately 70 mm.
Diagram 4L: Shows further preparation. The inner insulation is stripped back approximately 40 mm from the conductor.
Diagram 5L: Shows preparing the conductors. The two conductors are aligned. The braid is folded back over the outer jacket.
Diagram 6L: Shows inserting the conductors into the splice connector (C). The conductors are inserted into the appropriate terminals of the connector.
Diagram 7L: Shows crimping the connector. A crimping tool (F) is used to crimp the connector onto the conductors.
Diagram 8L: Shows the result after crimping. The conductors are securely held within the connector.
Diagram 9L: Shows trimming the braid. Excess braid is trimmed to approximately 6 mm.
Diagram 10L: Shows crimping the other end of the splice connector (A) using the CTL-20 tool.

Right Side Preparation (for joining to another cable):

Diagram 11R: Shows preparing the second cable end. A heat shrink sleeve (D) is slid onto the cable. The outer jacket is stripped back approximately 90 mm. The conductive braid is exposed.
Diagram 12R: Shows separating the conductive braid. The braid is carefully separated into two halves.
Diagram 13R: Shows further preparation. The inner insulation is stripped back approximately 35 mm from the conductor.
Diagram 14R: Shows preparing the conductors. The two conductors are aligned.
Diagram 15R: Shows inserting the conductors into the splice connector (C). The conductors are inserted into the appropriate terminals of the connector.
Diagram 16R: Shows crimping the connector. A crimping tool (F) is used to crimp the connector onto the conductors.
Diagram 17R: Shows the result after crimping. The conductors are securely held within the connector.
Diagram 18R: Shows trimming the braid. Excess braid is trimmed to approximately 6 mm.

Joining the two prepared ends:

Diagram 19: Shows bringing the two prepared cable ends together, with the splice connectors aligned. The CTL-20 tool is shown, implying a final crimp or connection step might be involved here, or it's a general tool reference.
Diagram 20: Shows sliding the main heat shrink sleeve (D) over the splice area.
Diagram 21: Shows heating the heat shrink sleeve (D) to shrink it around the splice. A heat gun is depicted.
Diagram 22: Shows the heat shrink sleeve shrunk. The conductive braid is shown being carefully managed.
Diagram 23: Shows the conductive braid being spread out and prepared for connection.
Diagram 24: Shows the conductive braid being prepared for connection to the grounding terminal.
Diagram 25: Shows the conductive braid being crimped to a terminal (B) using a tool.
Diagram 26: Shows sliding a final outer heat shrink sleeve (E) over the entire assembly.
Diagram 27: Shows heating the final outer heat shrink sleeve (E) to shrink it, completing the splice. A heat gun is depicted.
Diagram 28: Shows the completed splice, with the outer heat shrink sleeve fully shrunk.
