ION Audio Party Splash™ Quickstart Guide
Getting Started
- Register Your Product: Visit ionaudio.com to register your product, download the full user guide, and sign up for the newsletter.
- Charge the Speaker: Plug the speaker into a power source using a USB cable (adapter not included) to fully charge it before first use. Charging typically takes 4 hours.
- ION Sound XP™ App: Enhance your experience by connecting to the ION Sound XP™ app. Ensure your phone is connected to the speaker via Bluetooth (see step 4), then download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Open the app, press the '+' button to search for the speaker, and connect.
Create Your Sound Experience
Bluetooth Connection
- Turn on the speaker.
- On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Party Splash".
- Play music from your preferred music player app.
- Use the '-' and '+' buttons on the speaker to adjust volume.
- Press and hold '+' to skip to the next track.
- Press and hold '-' to go to the beginning of the track. Press '-' again within one second to skip to the previous track.
AUX Input
- Connect any audio source to the AUX input using a 3.5mm (1/8") cable (cable not included).
- Adjust volume using your sound source's volume control or the speaker's '+' and '-' buttons.
Customize Your Sound Experience
Light Modes
- Press the LIGHTS button or use the app to cycle through lighting effects for the bass radiator, front/bottom LEDs, and top dome.
- Press and hold the LIGHTS button to switch between Beat Sync and Color Cycle modes.
Stereo-Link™
Refer to the User Guide or the ION Sound XP™ app for instructions on linking to another Party Splash™ speaker for stereo sound.
Radio Functionality
- Press the RADIO button on the product or select RADIO in the app.
- Press and hold the '+/-' buttons to seek radio stations.
- Radio presets can be managed in the app. To cycle through presets on the speaker, quickly press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
Bass Boost
Press the BASS BOOST button to enhance the overall bass frequency response.
Call Answering
- When a phone is connected via Bluetooth, incoming calls will pause audio playback.
- Quickly press the PLAY/PAUSE button to answer the call.
- Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button to reject the call.
- During a call, the '+' and '-' buttons adjust volume.
- Pressing the PLAY/PAUSE button again will end the call and resume audio playback.
Voice Prompts
Double-tap the POWER button to turn voice prompts on or off.
Important Safety Instructions
General Safety:
- Read and keep all instructions.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not use near water or in damp environments.
- Ensure proper ventilation; do not block openings.
- Keep away from heat sources and open flames.
- Use only the specified power supply type.
- Handle the power cord with care; unplug during storms or long periods of non-use.
- Use only manufacturer-specified accessories.
- Caution: Danger of explosion if battery is replaced incorrectly. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat.
- Do not defeat safety features of plugs.
- For Class II apparatus: No safety connection to electrical earth required. Use identical replacement parts for servicing.
- Warning: To prevent hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for extended periods.
- This apparatus is intended for professional use in moderate climates.
Safety Notices:
- CAUTION: Do not remove covers; no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
- DANGEROUS VOLTAGE: A lightning flash symbol indicates the presence of un-insulated dangerous voltage.
- INSTRUCTIONS: An exclamation point symbol indicates important operating and maintenance instructions.
- FCC/ISED Regulations: This equipment complies with FCC Part 15 and ISED regulations for digital devices, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference. It may cause interference if not installed and used correctly. Maintain a minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body.
- ESD/EFT Warning: The unit may contain a microcomputer that could lock up due to severe interference. If this occurs, turn off the unit, wait five seconds, and turn it back on.
- Correct Disposal: Do not dispose of this product with household waste. Recycle responsibly to promote sustainable reuse of materials. Contact the retailer for return and collection systems.
- Battery Disposal: Never dispose of batteries in fire or near excessive heat. Follow local ordinances for disposal. Do not mix types of batteries. Insulate batteries if storing.
