Disassembly for Repair
How to Remove Disc in unit: Slide the lever of the mechanism from the bottom side if you cannot get the disc on the tray.
Cautions: The marking of products using lasers (Except for some areas):
CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT
The marking is located on the rear panel and states that the component uses laser beams that have been classified as Class 1. This means the unit utilizes laser beams of a weaker class. There is no danger of hazardous radiation outside the unit.
Block Diagram
The block diagram illustrates the interconnections between various components of the DVD/CD player, including the SCART part, RCA part, digital output, main processing unit (MPEG ST15519), memory (SDRAM, FLASH MEMORY), VFD controller, and power supply (SMPS).
Circuit Description
This section details the various integrated circuits (ICs) and their pin functions, including the MPEG IC (ST15519), Audio DAC (PCM1748E), EEPROM (M24C02), FLASH MEMORY (M29F400T), SDRAM (HY57V651610BLTC-8), VFO controller (uPD16311), DC Motor Driver (KA8082), HEX Inverter (M74HCU04), and Flash Memory (M29W800AT).
It also describes the D/A Converter (PCM1748), SDRAM (KS641632D), and the internal block diagram of the D/A converter.
Wiring Diagram
The wiring diagram shows the connections between the MECHA F/E BOARD, SCART BOARD, MAIN BOARD, OUTPUT BOARD, FRONT BOARD, and POWER SUPPLY (SMPS) via various connectors (CN) and internal board connectors (CP).
PC Board (Component side view)
Illustrations of the component layout for the FRONT BOARD and OUTPUT BOARD are provided, detailing the placement of various components and ICs.
Schematic Diagram
Detailed schematic diagrams are provided for the various boards, showing component interconnections and values.
Exploded View
An exploded view diagram illustrates the physical assembly of the DVD/CD player, showing the arrangement of parts and their reference numbers.
Parts List
The parts list provides a comprehensive catalog of all components used in the unit, including their reference numbers, part numbers, descriptions, and destination markings. It also notes which parts are considered safety critical.
