FAQ

Question Answer
Not cooling Clean the filter. Set the airflow direction upwards. Set the temperature lower than the room temperature.
Not heating Clean the filter. Set the airflow direction downwards. Set the temperature higher than the room temperature.
Water dripping from the air outlet During cooling or dehumidification in high humidity conditions (above 80% RH), condensation may form on the indoor unit's surface, causing dripping. This is a normal physical phenomenon. Check and close doors and windows to prevent humid outdoor air from entering the room.
Water leakage from the indoor unit The filter is dirty. The indoor unit is installed tilted.
Remote control unresponsive Replace the batteries. Clean the filter.
Indoor air quality deteriorates after turning on the unit Odors from indoor furniture, paint, cigarettes, etc., may be drawn into the indoor unit with the airflow.
Audible water flow sound This is the sound of refrigerant flow, not a malfunction. It may occur when the air conditioner starts, stops, or is running.
"Crackling" sound Caused by thermal expansion or contraction of plastic parts.
Blackening near the air outlet, accompanied by a "hissing" sound This is due to the negative ion dust collector. Periodically turn off the unit and wipe the collector. The "hissing" sound is normal for units with negative ion function.
Indoor unit emitting mist During cooling or dehumidification, a fine mist may be observed as cold air from the indoor unit cools the indoor air.
Unit automatically switches to fan mode during cooling This prevents frost buildup on the indoor heat exchanger. The unit may temporarily switch to fan mode but will return to cooling mode shortly.
Unit cannot be restarted immediately after shutdown This is a system protection feature. The unit cannot be restarted for approximately 3 minutes after shutdown.
Outdoor unit emits steam during heating This is frost being removed from the outdoor unit's heat exchanger during defrosting operation.
Indoor fan continues to run after shutdown To dissipate residual heat, the indoor fan continues to run for a period after shutdown.
No airflow or inability to change fan speed during dehumidification During dehumidification, if the indoor temperature is close to the set temperature, the air conditioner operates at a low fan speed intermittently, and the remote control's fan speed setting is ineffective.
Temperature display difference To enhance comfort, the air conditioner automatically compensates for temperature differences in different zones. This may result in a discrepancy between the displayed temperature and the user's measurement, which is normal.
Automatic adjustment of airflow direction In cooling anti-direct blow mode, to prevent condensation, the unit enters anti-condensation mode, and the airflow direction automatically adjusts.
Unit cannot be started Connect the power supply and ensure the circuit is properly supplied. Ensure the circuit breaker is not tripped. If the unit still cannot be started, turn off the power immediately and contact an authorized service center.
Unit turns on but cannot cool or heat The remote control has a memory function. It defaults to the last used operating mode upon startup. Check if the unit is in fan mode or another mode. Switch to the desired operating mode.
Cooling and heating performance is poor Adjust the remote control settings as required. Clean the filter every two weeks. Close doors and windows. Ensure there are no obstructions to the air inlet or outlet. For heating: Adjust the horizontal louvers to be horizontal or downwards. Activate auxiliary heating. Select "High Fan" or "Strong" mode. If the outdoor temperature is low, exit PMV mode, select heating, and increase the set temperature. For cooling: Adjust the horizontal louvers to be horizontal or upwards. Excessive airflow may affect cooling performance. Other heat sources in the room can affect cooling performance. Direct sunlight in the room can lead to rapid heat dissipation, affecting cooling performance. Select "High Fan" or "Strong" mode.
Fuse or circuit breaker trips frequently If the problem persists after the above checks, stop using the air conditioner immediately and contact an authorized service center.
Water leakage during cooling or dehumidification operation The unit is operating abnormally or making unusual noises.

Installation Instructions

Indoor Unit Installation

Wall Hole Positioning:

  1. Fix the wall mounting plate horizontally on the wall.
  2. Determine the position for the wall hole based on the selected indoor unit installation location and pipe routing.
  3. Drill a 63mm diameter circular hole. The outer edge should be slightly sloped downwards. Install the protective ring and seal with plaster or putty after installation.

Wall Mounting Plate Installation Precautions:

  1. Use a spirit level to ensure the wall mounting plate is horizontal. The indoor unit must be installed horizontally to prevent water leakage. Ensure the installation height is between 2.1-2.3 meters.
  2. Based on the wall type, use appropriate drill bits to drill mounting holes at the four corners and in the center of the wall mounting plate (at least 5 holes, with a depth of no less than 30mm).
  3. Fill the holes with plastic anchors and secure the wall mounting plate with self-tapping screws, ensuring it is firmly fixed.

Pipe Routing:

  1. Route the connecting pipes, drain hose, and wiring according to the selected indoor unit, outdoor unit, and wall hole positions.
  2. Place the drain hose below and the wiring above. Ensure the power cord and wiring do not cross or tangle.
  3. Insulate the drain hose (especially for indoor and unit piping) with insulating material.
  4. Pass the connecting pipes (liquid and gas pipes) and wiring through the wall hole from the outside, connect them according to the pipe connection method, or pass the connecting pipes and wiring through the wall from the inside after connecting the indoor unit pipes and wiring, to prepare for outdoor unit connection.

Improper Drain Hose Placement:

Outdoor Unit Installation

Installation and Fixing:

  1. The outdoor unit installed near the street must not be less than 2.5 meters high.
  2. Firmly fix the mounting bracket to the wall to prevent strong winds from affecting it. Use expansion bolts of consistent specifications, at least 4 bolts with a diameter of 10mm or more. Then, securely fasten the outdoor unit to the bracket, ensuring it is level.

Drain Elbow Installation:

  1. Install the drain elbow as shown in the diagram.
  2. Do not use the drain elbow in very cold areas (ambient temperature below 0°C).

Vacuuming Method (R32):

Steps for vacuuming with a vacuum pump:

  1. Remove the cap from the shut-off valve. Connect the hose to the service valve of the three-way shut-off valve and the vacuum pump via the manifold gauge and diversion device.
  2. Fully open the low-pressure side knob of the manifold gauge. Turn on the vacuum pump power.
  3. Vacuum for 15 minutes. Check the low-pressure side pressure reading. It should reach -0.1MPa (-76cmHg). Then, close the low-pressure side knob of the manifold gauge and turn off the vacuum pump. Maintain pressure for 5 minutes. If the pressure drop does not exceed 0.005MPa, check and retighten the connections, then repeat step 3.
  4. After vacuuming, slightly open the liquid valve to release gas and balance the system pressure, preventing air from entering when disconnecting the pipes. Then, fully open the high and low-pressure valves.
  5. Tighten all valve caps and check for leaks.

Connecting Pipes:

Copper Pipe Outer Diameter (mm) Tightening Torque (N·m)
Φ6 18-20
Φ9 30-35
Φ12 50-55
Φ15.88 60-65

Connecting Pipe Installation Tips:

  1. Align the connecting pipe flare nut with the corresponding valve fitting cone.
  2. Tighten the connecting pipe nut firmly, then use a wrench to tighten it.
  3. After tightening, secure the joint with a protective cap.
  4. The indoor unit's flare nut cannot be reused. If secondary connection is required, the flare nut must be reprocessed.
  5. After connecting the indoor unit, install the protective cap and seal with silicone to prevent disassembly.
  6. For installation, maintenance, or relocation, contact Haier after-sales personnel. Non-professional personnel are prohibited from performing these operations.
  7. According to the air conditioner standard GB4706.32, the indoor unit uses a non-reusable connector. The installation method is the same as a standard connector. However, once this connector is installed, it cannot be removed. If secondary connection is required, cut the connector and re-weld it.
