Adaptive-Sync Technology
AMD FreeSync
FreeSync technology eliminates screen tearing and reduces lag during gameplay, enhancing the gaming experience. Available menu items may vary based on monitor model and AMD graphics card compatibility.
Nvidia G-Sync
For users with Nvidia GTX 10series or RTX20series graphics cards, the Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync) function can be utilized. This requires the latest Nvidia GPU drivers. Ensure you have the latest updates installed for compatibility.
How to Enable FreeSync on Nvidia GPU
- Right-click on the Windows desktop and select "Nvidia Control Panel".
- In the left-hand navigation pane, expand the "Display" section and select "Set up G-Sync".
- Check the "Enable G-Sync, G-Sync Compatible" box. If you have multiple monitors, select the desired Active Sync display.
- Check the "Enable settings for the selected display model" box.
- Click "Apply" in the bottom-right corner.
Note: If the above steps are unavailable or not working, navigate to "Manage 3D Settings", click the "Global" tab, scroll down to "Monitor Technology", select "G-SYNC Compatible" from the dropdown, and click "Apply".
Connection Note: While AMD Radeon GPUs and some FreeSync monitors support Adaptive Sync over HDMI, Nvidia recommends connecting your GeForce GPU to your FreeSync monitor via a DisplayPort cable to enable variable refresh rates. G-Sync functionality typically requires a DisplayPort connection.
