  4. Place the lid on the cup and ensure the power cord is plugged into the outlet.
  5. Push the lid down and hold to grind. (It will not work unless the lid is in place).
  6. Once the desired consistency of grinding has been achieved, stop grinding and remove the plug.

Note: Never operate the grinder for more than 30 seconds at a time. This grinder can only handle dry, brittle foods. Do not grind moist, extremely hard, or gummy foods such as whole ginger, chocolate, sesame seeds, or oily spices like cinnamon, cloves, or nutmeg. Do not grind peanuts or grains such as wheat, rice, barley, or dried corn. Attempting to grind any of these foods may damage the unit.

Useful Tips

  • A coarse grind works well for slower brewing in a percolator.
  • A medium grind will get the best flavor extraction for faster brewing in automatic drip coffeemakers.
  • A fine grind is great for espresso or Turkish coffee.
  • For the freshest coffee, use only fresh beans for the amount you will brew.
  • Whole coffee beans should be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 month or in the freezer for up to 3 months. When ready to use, beans can be ground while still frozen. Extra ground coffee can be stored in an airtight container to retain flavor.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Clean the coffee bean container after using.
  • Wipe the grinding cup, base, and other parts with a slightly damp cloth or sponge.
  • Never use harsh detergents, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads to clean any part.
  • Polish the cover with a dry cloth and dry parts thoroughly.
  • Use the slot on the underside of the machine to store the cord.
