Warnings
Backing up vehicle
Do not back up vehicle while watching the monitor screen. Always look in the direction of vehicle motion. Use the monitor as an aid in safety confirmation. The distance looks different in the monitor. The actual distance may be shorter than it looks in the monitor. The range of image is limited. Beware of blind spots.
Cautions
The product is intended to assist in safe driving and to allow the driver to have a broader rearview during reversing. You, as the driver, are solely responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle and the safety of your passengers according to the country and their local traffic regulations. Do not use any features of this system to the extent it distracts you from safe driving. Your first priority while driving should always be the safe operation of your vehicle. Audiovox Electronics Corp. cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for accidents resulting from failure to observe these precautions or safety instructions.
CONTROLS AND INDICATORS
Figure 1 depicts the LCM45NB monitor. Label A points to the 4.5" TFT color LCD screen. Label B indicates the speaker volume control on the bottom left, used for rearview camera audio when in reverse. Label C points to the LCD brightness control on the bottom right. Label D marks the camera switch. Label E denotes the Remote IR Sensor for Audiovox Navigation.
CAMERA SWITCH
- When switch D is pressed and the vehicle is shifted into reverse gear: No function.
- When switch D is pressed and vehicle is in any other gear:
- Will display the interior camera image if the optional Interior camera is installed.
- Will display the rearview camera image if only rearview camera is installed.
- No function if the optional navigation is the only input.
OPERATING THE MONITOR
TURNING THE LCD MONITOR ON/OFF
The LCD Monitor turns ON every time the ignition key is turned ON and system powered up. The monitor turns OFF every the Ignition key is turned OFF and the system powered down.
VIEWING THE REAR OBSERVATION CAMERA IMAGE (optional)
If a rear observation camera is installed, the monitor will display the rear observation camera image whenever the vehicle is shifted into the reverse gear. The rear observation camera image turns off automatically any time the gear selector is moved out of the reverse position.
When both cameras are installed, pressing the camera switch (see Figure 1-D) will display the interior camera image. If only the review camera is installed, pressing and holding the Camera switch (see Figure 1-D) on the left side of the monitor will display the review camera image. Releasing the camera button will return the screen to its previous state.
VIEWING THE INTERNAL OBSERVATION CAMERA IMAGE (optional)
Press and hold the camera switch (see Figure 1-D) on the left side of the monitor to view the internal camera image. Releasing the camera button will return the screen to its previous state.
VIEWING THE NAVIGATION IMAGE (optional)
If a Navigation system is installed, the navigation image will be displayed when the vehicle's Ignition is turned on.
CONTROLS
LCD MONITOR BRIGHTNESS CONTROL
The brightness adjustment control is on the bottom right of the monitor (see Figure 1-C). Rotating the wheel to the right will decrease the brightness. Rotating the wheel to the left will increase the brightness.
SPEAKER VOLUME CONTROL
The speaker volume control is on the bottom left side of the monitor (see Figure 1-B). This control is used only to adjust the rearview camera audio level. The vehicle must be shifted into reverse in order to hear and adjust the camera audio level. Rotating the wheel to the right will decrease the speaker level. Rotating the wheel to the left will increase the audio level.
Maintenance
- Keep your system away from excessive moisture, extreme heat or cold, and magnetic fields.
- Keep liquids away from the display.
- To avoid damage, do not place external devices or other objects on the top of the monitor.
- Occasionally wipe the monitor display with a soft, damp cloth.
- Occasionally clean the surface of the monitor with a soft cloth moistened with water or window cleaner.
