Installation Guidelines

Wall Mount Installation

If this TV is wall-mounted, follow the manufacturer's instructions exactly. If not properly installed, the TV may slide or fall, causing serious injury to children or adults and seriously damaging the TV.

Adequate Ventilation for the TV

When installing your TV and the One Connect Box, maintain a minimum distance of 10 cm between the TV and the One Connect Box and other objects (walls, furniture sides, etc.) to ensure adequate ventilation. Failure to provide adequate ventilation may cause fire or product problems due to internal temperature increase.

Safety Precaution

Caution: Pulling, pushing, or climbing on the TV can cause it to fall. Do not lean on or destabilize the TV. This can cause the TV to tip over and cause serious injury, potentially leading to death. Follow all safety instructions provided in the safety leaflet accompanying the TV. For greater stability and safety, you can purchase and install the anti-fall device, following the instructions in "To prevent the TV from falling".
WARNING: Never place the TV in an unstable location. The TV may fall, causing injury or death. Many injuries can be avoided by taking simple precautions, such as:

To Prevent the TV from Falling

Diagram description: A wall anchor (not supplied) is used to secure the TV to the wall.

  1. Using appropriate screws, firmly attach a set of brackets to the wall. Ensure the screws are firmly secured to the wall. Depending on the wall type, other materials such as wall anchors may be needed.
  2. Using appropriate size screws, firmly attach a set of brackets to the TV. For screw specifications, refer to "Standard screw" in the Unpacking and Installation Manual.
  3. Connect the brackets attached to the TV and the brackets attached to the wall with a durable and strong cable, then firmly secure the cable.

Precautions when installing the TV with a stand (The Frame series only)

When installing the TV with a stand, avoid placing the stand on the back of the table surface. Failure to do so may cause the motion sensor at the bottom of the TV to not function correctly.

Diagram description: Illustrates correct and incorrect placement of the TV stand on a table to ensure the motion sensor at the bottom of the TV functions properly. The correct placement shows the TV stand positioned forward on the table, allowing the sensor to be unobstructed. The incorrect placement shows the TV stand pushed too far back, obstructing the sensor.

Notes

Energy Consumption Reduction

When the TV is turned off, it enters standby mode. In standby mode, it continues to consume a small amount of energy. To reduce energy consumption, disconnect the power cable when you do not intend to use the TV for a long period.

Important Warranty Information Regarding TV Format Viewing

Refer to the warranty terms for more information about the product warranty included in this manual.

LED screens in widescreen format (16:9 aspect ratio) are essentially designed to display full motion video in widescreen format. Images displayed on them should primarily be in 16:9 widescreen format, or expanded to fill the screen if your model offers such a function, and images should be in constant motion. Display of static graphics and images on the screen, such as dark side bars in standard format TV programming and videos not expanded, should be limited to no more than 5% of the total TV viewing time per week.

Additionally, the display of other static images and texts, such as stock ticker news, video game displays, logos, websites, or computer graphics and patterns, should be limited for all TVs as described above. Display of static images exceeding the above guidelines may cause uneven wear of LED screens and, consequently, permanent duplicate image problems on the screen. To prevent this, vary programming and images, displaying moving images, full screen, instead of static images or dark bars.

On LED models that offer image framing features, use these controls to view different formats as a full-screen image.

Be aware of the selection and duration of TV formats used for viewing. Uneven wear of the LED screen as a result of format selection and use, as well as permanent ghost images, are not covered by the limited Samsung warranty.
