General Safety & Usage
Exercise caution when using your GoPro camera, extension pole, and remote control as part of your active lifestyle. Always be aware of your surroundings to avoid injury to yourself and others.
Battery Safety
- Do not drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate, or paint the GoPro remote control.
- Do not insert foreign objects.
- Do not use the remote control if it has been damaged (e.g., cracked, punctured, or harmed by water).
- Disassembling or puncturing the battery can cause a fire.
- Do not dry the remote control with external heat sources like microwaves or hair dryers.
- In case of battery leakage, avoid contact of the liquid with skin or eyes. If contact occurs, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
- Do not store batteries with metal objects (coins, keys, necklaces). Battery terminals contacting metal objects may cause a fire.
- The battery is not user-serviceable; contact GoPro Customer Service for battery-related issues.
Coin/Button Cell Battery Safety
- Do not ingest the battery; it may cause chemical burns.
- This product contains a coin/button cell battery. Swallowing it can cause severe internal burns in 2 hours and can lead to death.
- Keep new and used batteries away from children.
- If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
- If you suspect batteries have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
Helmet Use
If using your camera with a GoPro helmet mount, always select a helmet that meets applicable safety standards. Choose the right helmet for your sport or activity and ensure it fits properly. Inspect your helmet for good condition and follow the manufacturer's instructions for safe use. Any helmet that has sustained a major impact should be replaced. No helmet can protect against injury in every accident.

- To limit potential interference with digital transceivers (e.g., avalanche beacons), consult the transceiver's manual regarding the use of other GPS or electronic devices, like the GoPro camera, when in avalanche beacon search mode.
- Power off your camera when its use is forbidden or when it may cause interference.
- Avoid exposing the remote control to very cold or very hot temperatures. Extreme temperatures may temporarily shorten battery life or cause the remote control to stop working properly.

GoPro warrants this extension pole (non-electrical mounts and accessories) against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product for the benefit of the first purchaser or gift recipient. Products found to be defective will be repaired or replaced at GoPro's discretion. Limited Lifetime Warranty - Waterproof Shutter Remote
GoPro warrants this remote control for its useful life (not to exceed two years for products with electrical or electronic components) against deficiencies in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover products that are improperly used, abused, altered, or repaired. Products found to be defective within the warranty period will be repaired or replaced at GoPro's discretion. Warranty Disclaimers & Limitations
All implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited to the duration of this warranty. GoPro disclaims all other expressed or implied warranties or conditions. To the extent not prohibited by law, GoPro will not be liable for any loss of revenue or profit, or for any special, indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages, however caused, arising out of or related to the use of or inoperability of the product, even if GoPro has been advised of the possibility of such damages. GoPro's liability will not exceed the amount paid by you for the product.
Legal Rights
This Lifetime Warranty and Limited Lifetime Warranty give you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state or country to country. Some places do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
Warranty Evaluation
For warranty evaluation, visit www.gopro.com/help for a return authorization before shipping your product to GoPro. Your product must be accompanied by an explanation and receipt. All shipping for warranty evaluation must be pre-paid and insured. GoPro cannot be liable for lost in-bound packages. Damage not covered under warranty may be repaired or replaced for a reasonable rate and a fee will be charged. Warranty void where prohibited.
Consumer Guarantees
European Union Consumers: GoPro grants a free, limited manufacturer's guarantee for two (2) years from the original purchase date. This does not limit your consumer rights but grants additional rights.
Australian Consumers: The benefits of the GoPro limited warranty are in addition to other available rights and remedies. Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Disposal
Dispose of used batteries promptly in accordance with local regulations. Contact your local recycling center or national recycling organizations for more information.
