Flexineb E3 Firmware Update Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Device
Remove the battery door and battery. If your unit has a Red Switch, move it to the RIGHT position for firmware update function.

Step 2: Connect to Computer
Connect either a Mini-USB cable (digital camera type) or a Micro USB cable (android phone type) to the E3 controller end. Connect the standard USB end to your laptop or PC.

Step 3: Download Firmware Update Software
Go to the official Flexineb website (www.flexineb.com) and navigate to the Support tab, then select Firmware Update. Alternatively, use the direct link: https://flexineb.com/pages/firmware-update.
Step 4: Initiate Download
On the website, click the "Download (Windows)" button. A macOS compatibility note states that it is currently not supported.

An executable file (e.g., Flexineb (1).exe) will download to the bottom left corner of your PC.

Step 5: Open the Executable File
Click the arrow next to the downloaded file and select "Open".

Step 6: Bypass Security Warning
If Windows Defender SmartScreen prevents the app from starting, click on "More Info" and then "Run anyway".

Step 7: Update the Device
The program will search for your E3 unit. Once found, click the "Update" button.

Step 8: Complete the Update
A "Device updated successfully!" message will appear. Click "OK" and then "Exit" to finish the update process.

Step 9: Finalize and Reassemble
Unplug the USB cable. Move the Red Switch back to the LEFT position for normal function (if applicable). Refit the battery and the battery door. The update is now complete.
