Reading the display
The watch features several modes, which can be cycled through by pressing [Button C]
: Regular timekeeping, Daily alarm mode, Stopwatch mode, and Time/calendar setting mode.
The display shows various indicators, including Light, Day, Date, Alarm-on-mark, Mode indicator, Hour, Minute, Second, AM/PM, and 1/100 second.
Day abbreviations used are: SU (Sunday), MO (Monday), TU (Tuesday), WE (Wednesday), TH (Thursday), FR (Friday), SA (Saturday).
In regular timekeeping mode, pressing [Button A]
cycles between 12-hour and 24-hour formats.
Stopwatch operation
A signal confirms start/stop operation. The stopwatch display is limited to 59 minutes 59.99 seconds; for longer times, reset and start again.
(a) Net time measurement
Operations: Start, Stop Re-start, Stop Reset.
Sequence: Press [Button A]
to Start. Press [Button A]
to Stop Re-start. Press [Button A]
to Stop Reset.
(b) Split time measurement
Operations: Start, Split, Split release, Stop, Reset.
Sequence: Press [Button A]
to Start. Press [Button A]
for Split. Press [Button L]
for Split release. Press [Button L]
for Stop. Press [Button L]
for Reset.
(c) 1st-2nd place times
Operations: Start, Split (first runner), Split release (record first runner's time), Stop (second runner), Split release (record second runner's time), Reset.
Sequence: Press [Button A]
to Start. Press [Button A]
when the first runner finishes (Split). Press [Button L]
to record the first runner's time (Split release). Press [Button L]
when the second runner finishes (Stop). Press [Button L]
to record the second runner's time (Split release). Press [Button L]
for Reset.
Setting daily alarm
If the daily alarm is set, the buzzer sounds for 20 seconds at the preset time every day until cleared. To stop the buzzer, press the [Button L]
. If the time signal is set, the watch sounds every hour on the hour.
(Sound demonstration) Press and hold the [Button A]
in alarm mode to sound the buzzer.
[Hour setting]
Press [Button L]
in the daily alarm mode to set the hour. One hour advances with every push of [Button A]
.
[Minute setting]
Press [Button L]
to set minute digits. One minute advances with every push of [Button A]
. Press [Button L]
to complete.
Note: If the [Button C]
is pressed, the watch reverts to the regular timekeeping mode. (Quick digit advance) When the [Button A]
button is pressed for more than 2 seconds, the digit advances quickly. When released, the digit advance will stop.
On or off setting of daily alarm and time signal
Use [Button A]
to cycle through the following states:
- [The alarm-on-mark and time-signal-on-mark appear.]: The daily alarm and time signal sound.
- [The alarm-on-mark and time-signal-on-mark disappear.]: The daily alarm and time signal do not sound.
- [The alarm-on-mark only appears.]: The daily alarm only sounds.
- [The time-signal-on-mark only appears.]: The time signal only sounds.
Setting time and calendar
IMPORTANT: Setting sequence MUST BE FOLLOWED when making any new setting.
Sequence: [Regular timekeeping]
→ [Second adjusting]
→ [Hour setting]
→ [Minute setting]
→ [Month setting]
→ [Date setting]
→ [Day setting]

Press [Button C]
three times to change from regular timekeeping mode to time/calendar setting mode.
Press [Button L]
to move to the next setting item (seconds, hour, minute, month, date, day).
Press [Button A]
to increase the number (for hour, minute, month, date). Pressing [Button A]
advances to the next day.
Press [Button C]
to complete the setting.
Note: Precise time can be maintained by correcting the seconds once a month on a time signal from a radio, TV, telephone, etc. (Quick digit advance) When the [Button A]
button is pressed for more than 2 seconds, the digit advances quickly. When released, the digit advance will stop.
Additional notes:
- Correction of any digit, if not required, can be skipped by pressing the
[Button L]
button repeatedly. - If you do not operate any button for a few minutes while a selection is flashing, the flashing stops and the watch goes back to the regular timekeeping mode automatically.

NOTE: THERE IS NO WAY unit components can be damaged or malfunction, due to misoperation of buttons. If confusing information appears on the display it means entry sequence was incorrect. Please read the manual and try again.
