General Introduction

The Saramonic Blink500 Pro B8 kit is an incredibly lightweight, ultra-compact, and easy-to-use four-channel wireless microphone system for up to 4 people. The kit comprises four Blink500 Pro TXS transmitters and one Blink500 Pro 4RX receiver. The microphone delivers exceptional digital audio processing-grade stable-quality sound to DSLR, mirrorless, video cameras, smartphones, tablets, computers, and more.

The Blink500 Pro TXS clip-on transmitter features a built-in omnidirectional microphone. It is small and light enough to clip to shirts and clothing, and includes gain & mute controls.

The Blink500 Pro 4RX clip-on receiver features a vivid OLED display, selectable mono and stereo modes, and an 8-hour run time on a single charge. It has two LINE OUT jacks and a 3.5mm headphone output for real-time monitoring, allowing connection to four Blink500 Pro TX/TXS transmitters simultaneously.

The Blink500 Pro B8 operates on the 2.4GHz spectrum, automatically hopping to free channels to avoid static noise and audio dropouts. It is a great solution for content creation, recording, vlogging, and mobile journalism, meeting the needs of professional users.

OLED Display Operation Guide (Blink500 Pro 4RX)

The OLED display shows various information:

• Main Screen: If no operation is performed for 30 seconds, the display returns to the main screen.
• ① Receiver Output Mode: Displays Mono (M) or Stereo (S).
• ② Headphone Volume & Mute Indicator: Adjust headphone volume with +/- buttons. Shows mute status (Mute ON/OFF).
• ③ RF Level Indicator: Shows signal strength (Strong: solid dot, Weak: hollow dot, No Signal: no dot).
• ④ Battery Level Indicator: Displays remaining battery. Flashing indicates low battery, requiring recharge.
• ⑤ Audio Input Level Meter: Shows real-time audio input level.

Menu Screen (Blink500 Pro 4RX)

Access the menu by long-pressing the SET button.

• Output Volume Setting: Adjust headphone monitoring volume from 0 to 6 (default is 5).
• Audio Output Mode Setting: Select Mono (audio mixed to both channels) or Stereo (audio separated to left/right channels). Default is Mono.
• Backlight Setting: Set backlight to always on, or on for 10s, 30s, or 60s. Default is ON.
• Mute Key Setting: Enable or disable the mute key function. Default is Enable.
• Pair Setting: Initiate pairing with transmitters.
• Language Setting: Select English or Chinese. Default is English.
• Track Number Setting: Set track number to 2 or 4. Default is 4.
• Restore Default Setting: Reset the device to factory defaults.
• Version: Displays the firmware version (e.g., V1.04).

Operation Guide

Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on/off the receiver Blink500 Pro 4RX and transmitters Blink500 Pro TXS.

Pairing

The system is pre-paired from the factory. If disconnected, follow these steps:

1. Turn off all transmitters. Long press the 4RX's SET button to enter the menu.
2. Use +/- buttons to navigate to the "Pair Setting" menu.
3. Long press SET to select the menu.
4. Select "Yes" and long press SET to confirm. The receiver enters pairing mode, and the RF indicator will flash.
5. Turn on the transmitter, then press and hold the transmitter "Pair" button (+/-) for 3 seconds to enable pairing mode. The indicator will flash blue rapidly. To avoid channel crowding, pair transmitters one by one.
6. Transmitter and receiver will pair within 10 seconds. The audio input level meter on the receiver's home screen will show the transmitter's volume.

Connecting the Receiver

Connect the receiver to a camera, recorder, or mixer using the supplied dual 3.5mm TRS to TRS Y-cable. For smartphones, tablets, or computers, use the supplied dual 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Y-cable.

Recording

You are ready to record.

Tips

• Turn on the receiver first, then the transmitters for pairing.
• To add more transmitters during use, turn off all currently connected transmitters and re-pair them with the receiver one by one.

Pairing Order

1. If using four Blink500 Pro TXS transmitters, they are divided into channel groups A (two transmitters) and B (two transmitters).
2. The Blink500 Pro 4RX receiver pairs with transmitters in the order A1, A2, B1, B2.
3. Once paired, the order and channel groups remain unless transmitters are powered off.

Auto Reconnection Order

1. In channel group A, the first rebooted transmitter reconnects to A1, the second to A2.
2. In channel group B, the first rebooted transmitter reconnects to B1, the second to B2.

Note: Restoring default settings may allow random shuffling of transmitter pairing order between groups A and B.

M/S Output Mode

1. Mono Mode: Audio from all transmitters (A1/A2/B1/B2) is mixed to output.
2. Stereo Mode: For two-track or four-track output, audio from A1/B1 is output to the left channel, and from A2/B2 to the right channel.

Note: Receiver OUT1 port outputs audio from group A1/A2. OUT2 port outputs audio from group B1/B2.
