Part#: PH01-XBK or PH02-XBK

Installation Instructions

Parts and Tools Needed

  • Rotating Phone Charger
  • #6 Pan Head Mounting Screws (not provided)
  • Power Drill & Hole Saw
  • Marine Grade Splices (not provided)

Safety and Installation Considerations

Important: Disconnect power before installing, adding, or changing any component.

To avoid a hazard to children, account for all parts and destroy all packing materials.

Electrical Specifications:

  • Input Voltage: 10-30V DC
  • Input Current: Wireless: 1A | USB-A: 1.9A | USB-C: 2.4A
  • Charging Capacity: Wireless Only: 10W | Wireless + USB-A: 10W + 12W | Wireless + USB-C: 10W + 18W

Positive (+) outputs require a fuse if the attached wire leads are not rated to handle the maximum current.

The charger is designed to work with Qi compatible devices.

The charger is designed to operate within the receiving device's thermal parameters. Low or high temperatures may cause the receiving device to adjust its charging behavior to regulate temperature and preserve battery life. Typical operating temperature ranges are 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F). Exceeding these temperatures may cause the phone and/or charging device to temporarily stop charging to protect from overheating.

The wireless charging module is optimized for use without a phone case. A thick phone case can increase the distance between the charger surface and the phone, potentially causing the device to not charge or to temporarily shut down to prevent overheating.

Installation Steps

  1. Determine Installation Location and Mark Mounting Holes

Pre-drill mounting holes and drill a 1 3/8" hole for wire access.

    Product TypeWire Access Hole Size
    Surface Mount1 3/8"
    Articulating Arm1/2"

Visual Description: A drill with a hole saw bit is shown drilling into a wall. Below this are two images: one of the 'Surface Mount' type with a single mounting hole, and another of the 'Articulating Arm' type with a mounting base.

  2. Secure the Holder

Screw the holder in place using #6 pan head screws (not provided), ensuring correct top orientation as noted on the back of the part.

Visual Description: Three images are displayed. The first shows a drill securing a mounting screw. The second shows the 'Surface Mount' holder attached to a wall. The third shows the 'Articulating Arm' holder attached to a surface.

  3. Wire the Phone Holder

Visual Description: A wiring diagram shows the 'Phone Holder' connected to 'Positive (+)' and 'Negative (-)' terminals. The 'Positive (+)' wire passes through a 'Fuse' before connecting to 'Incoming 10V - 30V DC Power'. The 'Negative (-)' wire connects directly to the power source.

  4. Attach Surface Mount Holder

For the Surface Mount Version: Snap the holder into the mounting plate, aligning the 'TOP' text on both components. The phone holder can be rotated 90° counter-clockwise and 180° clockwise for portrait or landscape viewing.

Visual Description: Four images are presented. The first shows the 'Surface Mount' mounting plate with a 'TOP' indicator. The second shows the 'Phone Holder' with its 'TOP' indicator. The third image demonstrates snapping the 'Phone Holder' onto the 'Surface Mount' plate, aligning the 'TOP' markings. The final two images show a phone mounted on the charger in portrait and landscape orientations.
