Connect the Base Stand

The expansion module can be placed on a desk using the included base stand. The base stand attaches to the back of the module.

Mount the Expansion Module (Optional)

The expansion module can be mounted on a wall. This involves measuring 88 mm (3.46 inches) for mounting holes, drilling holes of 5mm (3/16") diameter, and using screws to attach the bracket to the wall. The module then attaches to the bracket.

Diagram Description:

The diagram shows a ruler indicating 88 mm / 3.46 inches with two circles representing mounting points. Step 2 shows a drill creating holes in a wall. Step 3 shows a mounting bracket being attached to the wall with screws. Step 4 shows the expansion module being attached to the mounted bracket.

Connect the Expansion Module

Important: Power off the phone before connecting the expansion module.

The expansion module connects to the side of the Poly VVX 450 Business IP Phone. The connection is made via a proprietary connector and secured with a screw.

Diagram Description:

The diagram shows the back of the VVX 450 phone and the expansion module. Arrows indicate how the expansion module slides into place on the phone. Another diagram shows a screw being inserted and tightened to secure the connection between the two units.

Connect a Second Expansion Module

Important: Power off the phone before connecting an additional expansion module.

Note: You can connect up to two VVX EM50 expansion modules to a VVX 450 business IP phone.

The process for connecting a second expansion module is similar to the first, involving sliding the module into place and securing it with a screw.

The diagram illustrates connecting a second expansion module to the first one, showing the connection points and the use of a screw for securing.
