Safety and Compliance
Important Notes
- The speaker is not waterproof and is designed for indoor use only. Exposure to rain or water will damage the unit.
- Operates at 100V/70V. Isolate speaker cabling from the source before performing any work on the unit.
- Ensure the speaker is correctly installed into a firm recess. Improper installation may lead to failure, injury, or death.
- Ensure all terminations are fully tightened to prevent short circuits.
- Do not install speakers in humid, dusty, smoky, or steamy environments, as this may cause damage and malfunction.
- Do not use the fire dome as a junction box for other cables. Only 70V / 100V loudspeaker lines should be connected.
- Verify that the ceiling material and strength are adequate for the speaker's weight.
EN54-24 Compliance
This product complies with EN54-24:2008, Components of voice alarm systems - Loudspeakers. Harmonized Technical Specification: EN54-24:2008.
Installation and Operation
Installation Steps
- Unscrew the nut in the middle of the dome and remove the dome from the loudspeaker.
- Pass the incoming cables through the cable entry of the dome and connect them to the correct terminals.
- Replace the dome onto the loudspeaker and secure it with the nut.
- Lift the leg springs of the loudspeaker and insert the loudspeaker into the ceiling cut-out.
- Adjust the loudspeaker in the ceiling cut-out until it is completely locked in place against the ceiling.
