Siemens NET-7M Communication Interface

Introduction

The Siemens NET-7M is a crucial communication interface designed for the MXL and MXLV fire alarm systems. It facilitates communication between the main control panel and multiple remote panels using RS-485 pairs. Each NET-7M unit provides electrical isolation, enhancing system reliability and fault tolerance by isolating ground faults to individual remote panels.

This interface is essential for expanding the network capabilities of MXL systems, supporting up to 32 network drops. The NET-7M features diagnostic LEDs that indicate the status of communication pairs, aiding in troubleshooting and system monitoring.

• Establishes Style 7 communication between MXL system components.
• Supports daisy chain and counter-rotating wiring configurations.
• Requires CSG-M Revision 9.01 or higher for operation.
• Note: NET-7s and NET-4s cannot be combined in the same system.
