Product Overview
Helicopter: The Wltoys XK K110s is a compact, single-rotor helicopter featuring a durable plastic body, a powerful brushless main motor, and a dedicated tail rotor motor. It includes a stable landing gear for easy ground handling. The main rotor head and tail boom are designed for resilience.
Transmitter: The included 2.4GHz transmitter provides precise control. It features a digital LCD screen displaying flight information, control sticks for throttle and directional movement, trim adjustments, and mode selection buttons. The transmitter requires AA batteries (not included).
Getting Started
Charging the Battery ⚡
1. Connect the charger to a power source.
2. Plug the Li-Po battery into the charger connector.
3. The charger's indicator light will show charging status. Charging typically takes 60-90 minutes. Do not overcharge.
4. Disconnect the battery once charging is complete.
Transmitter Setup
1. Open the battery compartment on the transmitter and insert 4 AA batteries (not included), observing correct polarity.
2. Turn on the transmitter.
Binding the Helicopter to the Transmitter
Binding is the process of linking the transmitter to the helicopter's receiver. This is usually done once.
1. Ensure the helicopter battery is disconnected.
2. Turn on the transmitter.
3. Connect the helicopter's battery. The LED on the helicopter will flash.
4. The helicopter will automatically bind to the transmitter. The LED will turn solid when binding is successful.
5. If binding fails, disconnect the battery, turn off the transmitter, and repeat the process.
Flight Operations
Transmitter Controls
The transmitter features two control sticks. In Mode 2 (common configuration):
- Left Stick:
- Up/Down: Throttle (controls motor speed/altitude)
- Left/Right: Yaw (controls nose direction left/right)
- Right Stick:
- Up/Down: Pitch (controls forward/backward movement)
- Left/Right: Roll (controls left/right sideways movement)
Trim buttons adjust the neutral position of the sticks to correct any unwanted drift.
Flight Modes: 6G and 3D
The XK K110s supports two flight modes:
- 6G Mode (Stabilization): Ideal for beginners. This mode uses a 6-axis gyroscope for automatic stabilization, making it easier to hover and control. The helicopter will self-level when controls are neutralized.
- 3D Mode (Aerobatic): For experienced pilots. This mode disables the self-leveling feature and allows for inverted flight and aerobatic maneuvers.
Mode switching is typically done via a button on the transmitter. Refer to the transmitter's specific layout for the mode switch button.
Takeoff and Landing
Takeoff:
- Place the helicopter on a flat, level surface.
- Ensure the transmitter is in 6G mode.
- Slowly advance the throttle stick. The helicopter will spool up.
- Continue to gently increase throttle until the helicopter lifts off the ground.
- Use the pitch and roll sticks to maintain position.
Landing:
- Gently reduce the throttle to descend.
- As the helicopter nears the ground, reduce throttle further to land softly.
- Once landed, immediately bring the throttle stick to the lowest position.
- Turn off the transmitter and disconnect the helicopter battery.
