If you continue to use it, it may cause a malfunction. Therefore, if condensation occurs, place the product without connecting the power and wait for it to stabilize.
  20. Do not stack this product with other machines. Doing so may cause overheating or malfunction.
  21. Do not connect cables while the power is on. Doing so may cause malfunction of this product and connected equipment.
  22. When touching this product, remove static electricity from your body and clothes. Static electricity may cause product failure.
  23. Do not connect machines that generate noise to the same power line as this product. Doing so may cause product malfunction or poor operation.
  24. When using this product, depending on the surrounding environment, noise may occur in power, radio, television, etc. In such cases, try changing the product's setting protection or orientation.

Part Names and Functions

SWX2200-24G

  • Ventilation Holes (on the side): Holes for internal heat dissipation.
  • POWER Light: Illuminates when power is on.
  • MODE Button and Lights: The content displayed by the MODE button is indicated by the lights on each port, showing the port status. The MODE display light and the port status lights switch in the following order according to specifications. In each mode, the status of individual ports is indicated by the following lights:

SWX2200-8G

  • Connect the LAN port of the LAN sensor network device to the LAN port of this product.

Changing Product Settings

Changing Settings via Yamaha Router's Configuration Screen

When connected to a Yamaha router, you can change the following settings for this product:

    • Port Number

Network Configuration Display

The network configuration of this product is displayed in a tree format.

  • VLAN: Perform overall VLAN settings and management for the Yamaha router and SWX2200.
  • Power Saving Function: Configure the power saving functions of this product.
  • Loop Prevention: Prevent loops in the network.
  • Host Information: Quickly identify hosts on the network.
  • Restart: Restart this product.

In addition to the above functions, you can also manage the status of the SWX2200 using SNMP via the Yamaha router. By configuring the SWX2200 via the Yamaha router's Lua script, you can control the switch based on arbitrary conditions.

Changing Settings

Open the Yamaha router's settings page using a web browser on a computer connected to the Yamaha router to access the product's settings. Follow the steps below to open the settings page and operate.

  • Binding: When accessing the Yamaha router's settings page, you must use the Windows version of Internet Explorer 8.0 or later.

Opening the Yamaha Router's Administrator Settings Page

  • Power on this product and connect it to the LAN port of the Yamaha router via a LAN cable.
  • Start a web browser on your computer, and open it from the "File" menu by selecting "Open".
  • Enter "http://[Yamaha Router's IP Address]" in the address bar and click "OK".
  • Click "Settings".
  • Click "Switch Management" on the left side of the screen, then click "Settings" in the "Switch Management" column.
  • Select "Use" in the row for the LAN interface connected to this product, then click "Confirm".
  • A confirmation screen will be displayed.
  • Click "Review", then click "Return to Top Page".
  • Click "Execute" for the LAN port connected to this product.
  • Another page will open, displaying the SWX series switch connected to the browsed LAN port in the same format.
  • Open the settings page of the SWX to be configured and change the settings. Expand the display for the connected SWX.
    • To change the machine settings of the SWX series: Click the sequence prompt for the expanded display to open the settings screen.

Initializing Product Settings

Initialize the product's settings by turning on the power while the MODE button is in the following state:

Rack Mounting (SWX2200-24G)

The SWX2200-24G is compatible with 19-inch racks and is 1U in size. If using a 19-inch rack, secure it using the supplied metal parts (2) and screws (8).

  • Secure each metal part with 4 screws.
  • Metal parts can be attached to the front or back relative to the rack orientation.

Note

  • If the rack has doors, be careful not to interfere with the cables when connecting network cables and arranging power cables.
  • When attaching metal parts to the unit, use a Phillips screwdriver to secure each metal part with 4 screws.
  • Do not use screws other than those supplied with the mounting kit.

Step 1: Connect the power cable to the AC IN terminal on the back of the unit.
