Step 3: Stir the diluted paint again.
Step 4: Pour the paint into the paint container using a sieve to filter out any lumps or debris.
Step 5: Attach the paint container to the spray gun.
Step 6: Connect the air hose to the main unit and the spray gun.
2. Assembling the Sprayer
Step 1: Connect the air hose to the spray gun's air inlet.
Step 2: Connect the other end of the air hose to the main unit's air outlet.
3. Selecting the Air Cap
Choose the appropriate air cap for your specific painting task and surface type. Different air caps are designed for different applications, such as spraying fences, chairs, or walls.
Visual Description: Three different air caps are shown, each with a distinct shape or color, corresponding to different spraying scenarios.
4. Adjusting Spray Pattern
Adjust the spray pattern by rotating the nozzle ring on the spray gun. You can select between a round spray pattern, an oval spray pattern, or a wide oval spray pattern to suit your needs.
Visual Description: Three examples of spray patterns are depicted: a round pattern, an oval pattern, and a wider oval pattern.
5. Adjusting Paint and Air Flow
AIRVolume: Adjust the airflow using the AIRVolume dial on the main unit. The dial features symbols indicating different airflow levels.
PAINTVolume: Adjust the paint flow rate using the PAINTVolume dial on the spray gun. Settings typically range from 1-3 for lighter coats to 4-5 for heavier coats.
Contextual Examples:
- For spraying fences, adjust AIRVolume and PAINTVolume to settings like 1-3.
- For spraying chairs, adjust AIRVolume and PAINTVolume to settings like 1-3.
- For spraying walls, adjust AIRVolume and PAINTVolume to settings like 4-5.
6. Application Technique
Hold the spray gun at a consistent distance from the surface, typically 20-25 cm.
Move the spray gun in a steady, even motion, either horizontally or vertically, to ensure uniform coverage.
Testing:
- Perform a test spray on a piece of cardboard or an inconspicuous area.
- If the spray pattern is uneven or unsatisfactory [?], adjust the AIRVolume and PAINTVolume settings.
- If the spray pattern is even and satisfactory [?], proceed with your project.
