Revlon Super Lightweight Hair Dryer
Model: RVDR5260
Operating Instructions
This appliance is intended for household use only. Revlon® dryers are designed for safety and performance. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature.
IONIC TECHNOLOGY®: Reduces frizz for shiny, healthy-looking hair.
Styling Tips
- Always towel-dry hair to remove excess water.
- Set the dryer at the highest heat and speed settings and circulate the airflow through your hair. DO NOT concentrate airflow on any one area for an extended period of time.
- When hair is almost dry, lower heat and speed to style.
- Push the Cold Shot Button ❄️ to set the style with cold air once you've achieved the desired style.
- Store your Revlon® dryer on its practical Hanging Ring ?. This will prevent the cord from tangling and wearing prematurely.
Removable End Cap
- To remove the end cap, make sure unit is unplugged, then turn the end cap counterclockwise and pull it away from the dryer.
- Dust off the end cap.
- It may be washed but must be dried completely before reattaching it to the dryer.
- To replace the end cap, align the tabs of the end cap with the slots on the back of the dryer. Push the end cap onto the dryer and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
User Maintenance Instructions
This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that may cycle OFF or cause the heaters to turn off if the temperature exceeds comfort level due to partially blocked air inlet or outlet openings. In the event that the appliance stops or releases only cool air during use, turn off the switches and allow the appliance to cool down, at which time the thermostat will automatically reset. During use, DO NOT block the air openings. When using this appliance near water (e.g., bathrooms), the use of an electrical outlet protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) is recommended.
Maintenance
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, unplug the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
Cleaning Instructions
Dust and lint can be removed from air intake openings with a small brush or vacuum cleaner brush attachment. DO NOT allow moisture or additional debris to enter the unit while cleaning.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair it. This appliance has no user-serviceable parts.
Storage
Unplug appliance when not in use. Allow appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord carefully for longer life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting, or straining cord, especially at plug connections.
Important Safety Instructions
CAUTION:
- NEVER wrap the power cord around the appliance. Any pulling, twisting, severe folding or bending can damage the cord, especially at the point of entry into the unit, which may rupture the cord and can cause an electrical short or other failure.
- Regularly inspect the cord. DO NOT use an appliance with a twisted, bent or otherwise damaged cord, or if the appliance receives power irregularly. If cord is damaged, or for irregular power issues, refer to instructions in the WARNING section further below.
STORAGE: Appliance should be disconnected and allowed to cool before storage. DO NOT apply stress or tension to the cord's point of entry into the unit. During storage, cord should remain loose with no tight bends or folds, and appliance should be placed in a secure, dry location out of reach of children. For further details, refer to the STORAGE section of the Operating Instructions.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO CONSUMERS:
GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTERS CAN SAVE A LIFE
IF YOU MUST USE YOUR HAIR DRYER IN THE BATHROOM, INSTALL A GFCI* NOW!
Your local electrician can help you decide which type is best for you: a portable unit that plugs into the electrical outlet or a permanent unit installed by your electrician.
The National Electrical Code now requires a GFCI in the bathroom, garages and outdoor outlets of all new homes. WHY DO YOU NEED A GFCI?
Electricity and water don't mix. If your hair dryer falls in water while it's plugged in, the electric shock can kill you... even if the switch is "off." A regular fuse or circuit breaker won't protect you under these circumstances. A GFCI offers you far greater protection.
A GFCI CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE! COMPARED TO THAT, THE PRICE IS SMALL! DON'T WAIT... INSTALL ONE NOW!
*GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) is a sensitive device which reacts immediately to a small electric current leak by stopping the electricity flow.
