Sub-Zero Integrated Wine (IW) Series Wiring Diagrams and Schematics

This document provides detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, and interface diagrams for Sub-Zero Integrated Wine (IW) series appliances.

Models Covered: IW-18, IW-24, IW-30 (Part Number: 7028207 Rev A), IW-30R (Part Number: 7028209 Rev A)

WARNING: This wiring information is provided for use by qualified service personnel only. Disconnect appliance from electrical supply before beginning service. Be sure all grounding devices are connected when service is complete. Failure to observe the above warnings may result in severe electrical shock.

General Information

These diagrams are intended for qualified service personnel. Always disconnect power before servicing.

The Main Control Board features terminal points labeled ST-1 through ST-13. A dot next to a terminal indicates Pin #1 location.

IW-18, IW-24, IW-30 - High Voltage Wiring

Power Supply: The high voltage section receives power via a Power Supply Cord with connections for L1 (Line), Neutral (L2), and Ground. The system operates at 115 Volts, 60 Cycles.

Service Connector: A 4-pin Service Connector is present.

Main Control Board (High Voltage): Terminals ST-1 through ST-13 are part of the main control board. Specific high-voltage circuits include:

  • ST1-1: Power In (L1)
  • ST1-2: Wine Compressor
  • ST2-1: Line Power Supply
  • ST2-2: Neutral
  • ST2-3: Earth Ground (Green/Yellow wire)
  • ST4-6: Condenser Fan (Powers Condenser Fan)

Components:

  • Condenser Fan Motor: Connected via White/Red and White wires.
  • Ref Comp: (Implied connection to Main Control Board)

IW-18, IW-24, IW-30 - Low Voltage Wiring

The low voltage system manages various sensors, indicators, and control functions.

Main Control Board (Low Voltage): Terminals ST-1 through ST-13 are also used for low voltage circuits. Key low voltage functions include:

  • ST5-1: Home Alarm Common (Gray/White wire)
  • ST5-2: Home Alarm Normally Open (White/Red wire)
  • ST7-5: Evap Fan 12 VDC Power (Red wire)
  • ST7-6: Wine Evap Fan - Var. Speed Control Out (Yellow wire)
  • ST7-7: Wine Evap Fan - Tach Input (Blue wire)
  • ST7-8: Evap Fan Ground Return (Black/Red wire)
  • ST7-9: Wine Evap Fan - Var. Speed Control Out (Yellow/Brown wire)
  • ST7-10: Wine Evap Fan - Tach Input (Blue/Brown wire)
  • ST7-11: Condenser Fan - Var. Speed Control Out (Yellow/Orange wire)
  • ST7-12: Condenser Fan - Tach Input (Blue/Orange wire)
  • ST8-1 to ST8-6: Door LED functions (Power, PWM, Ground)
  • ST9-1: Door Switch Input (Yellow/Black wire)
  • ST9-9: Door Switch Ground (Black/Yellow wire)

IW-30R - Wiring Schematic
