Instruction Manual
Getting Started
Insert Battery: Rotate the battery cap 8 counter-clockwise to open the battery compartment. Insert a new 9V battery, observing the correct polarity.
Power On/Off: Press and hold the upper button 5 until a sound is heard. Two sounds and the LED Light 4 indicate the pinpointer is ready for use.
Operation
A metal object is detected by an increasing sound and vibration. The closer the pinpoint tip 1 and side scan area 3 are to the object, the stronger the signal.
Switch Modes: Cycle between tone+vibration, tone-only, and vibration-only modes by pressing the lower button 6 multiple times.
Adjust Sensitivity: To change the sensitivity level, hold the lower button 6 and simultaneously press the upper button 5. The number of sounds indicates the current sensitivity level: 1 to 3 sounds correspond to sensitivity levels 1 to 3, and a continuous sound indicates level 4.
Alerts and Maintenance
If the XPointer is not used for 3 minutes or the battery runs low, an alarm tone will sound.
Keep the O-ring clean and greased for optimal performance.
