1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the FreedConn T-MAX Motorcycle Bluetooth Communication System. The T-MAX is a Full Duplex Group Talk Bluetooth System, designed with humanized features and integrating cutting-edge technology. It serves as a perfect motorcycle communication system, satisfying various needs during your journey, such as wireless dialling, receiving calls, listening to MP3 music, receiving GPS voice prompts, and connecting with a handheld interphone. Its key feature is enabling group talk among multiple motorcycles, providing convenient communication with teammates during rides.

3. Installation Procedure
3.1 Adopt installation method with metal clamp
- Install the device onto the clamp.
- Insert the pin header of the corresponding clamp of the Bluetooth device properly and firmly.
- Open the lining of the helmet (at the ear's position), clean the EPS surface, and affix the VELCRO with the rough surface.
- Affix the hook surface of the speaker to the rough surface of the VELCRO and properly tidy the lining.
- Insert the headphone plug into the corresponding jack of the Bluetooth device (on the back of the clamp) to finish the installation.
3.2 Adopt installation method with plastic clamp
- Install the device onto the clamp.
- Tear off the white paper on the clamp and stick the device onto the helmet.
- Refer to steps 3, 4, and 5 of section 3.1 for speaker and headphone installation.
4. Disassembly of Bluetooth Device
- Remove the headphone.
- Remove the device and clamp from the helmet (along the arrow direction).
- Remove the device from the clamp (along the arrow direction).
5. Function Illustration
The T-MAX system provides a 1,500m intercom range for up to 6 users. It supports simultaneous connections with multiple devices, including mobile phones, GPS units, and L2 adapters. The system allows for dual mobile phone connections for calls and music playback. It can also connect to handheld interphones via a Bluetooth adapter or a control line. Key features include a rechargeable battery (usable during charging), built-in FM radio, voice prompts, noise analogue modulation for clearer audio, and waterproof capabilities.
6. Functions and Operation of Buttons
6.1 On/Off button and talkback button
6.1.1 On
Press and hold the multi-functional button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a "welcome to use FreedConn product" prompt voice. The blue indicator lamp flashes three times quickly, then flashes regularly. The current battery volume is reported automatically.
6.1.2 Off
Press and hold the multi-functional button until you hear the "Shutdown" prompt voice. The blue indicator lamp dies out.
6.1.3 Start the Bluetooth Intercom
Swiftly press either one of the multi-functional buttons of the two matched Bluetooth interphones.
6.1.4 End the Bluetooth Intercom
Swiftly press the multi-functional button during intercom.
6.1.5 Switch between Intercom and Music
Swiftly press the multi-functional button shortly when listening to music.
6.1.6 Clear the pairing record
Press "OFF" and you will see a red lamp lighten (after hearing the shutdown prompt voice). Hold the button for another 3 seconds, and you will see the red lamp flash quickly three times (with a "dudu" prompt voice), indicating clearing is successful. The device then shuts down (addresses are not cleared in normal shutdown by pressing and holding the button for 5 seconds).
6.2 Multi-functional Button
6.2.1 Answer calls
Press once, and you will hear a "receiving calls" prompt voice. If no operation is conducted within 15 seconds of an incoming ring, it will be answered automatically.
6.2.2 Reject calls
Press and hold for 2 seconds when hearing the ring until you hear a beep.
6.2.3 Switch between phone and T-MAX headset
Press and hold for 2 seconds until you hear a beep.
6.2.4 End the call
Press once or use the normal cell phone to end the talk.
6.2.5 Voice dialling
Press and hold for 2 seconds until you hear a "voice call" prompt.
6.2.6 Play/Pause music
Turn the MFB button for 2 seconds when playing music until hearing a beep.
6.2.7 Bluetooth intercom headphone matching with cell phone and GPS
Press and hold the multi-functional button of the intercom headphone for 6 seconds when shutting down until you hear a prompt voice and see the blue and red lamps flash alternatively, indicating the match is successful.
6.2.8 Two Bluetooth intercom headphones matching with each other
Press and hold the multi-functional buttons of two Bluetooth intercom headphones at the same time for 6 seconds. If matching is successful, you will hear a prompt voice, the blue and red lamps stop alternative flashing, and the blue lamp starts to flash.
6.2.9 Connecting with a second intercom with Bluetooth
Swiftly press the multi-functional button twice (single pressing and double pressing).
6.3 Knob
6.3.1 FM Control
Turn the MFB button for 2 seconds with no call or intercom until hearing a beep.
6.3.2 Volume control in FM
During radio state of FM, turn the button one step clockwise to change volume for one level. A beep will be heard when reaching Max volume. Pressing it once more maintains max volume. Pressing it a third time returns volume to minimum (cycle).
6.3.3 FM Tuning
During radio state of FM, turn the MFB button counterclockwise to shift to a next higher FM channel (cycle).
6.3.4 Next track
Turn MFB button once to switch to the next track during music playing (cycle).
6.3.5 Music volume control
During talk/intercom, turn the button once counterclockwise to lower volume (beep at minimum). Turn the button once clockwise to increase volume (beep at maximum).
7. Matching Procedures
7.1 Pair with Mobile Phone, Mp3 and GPS
- Ensure T-MAX is off and within 1 meter visible range of the device to be paired.
- Press down the T-MAX On/Off button/Intercom button for 6 seconds until you hear "Pairing" prompt. The red and blue lights flash alternatively, indicating T-MAX enters pairing status.
- Start up the Bluetooth device to be paired, search and choose a T-MAX for matching. You will hear a "Bluetooth is connected" prompt voice. When the blue lamp flashes regularly, matching is successful.
7.2 Pair with (Freed Conn) L2 Adaptor
- Ensure T-MAX is at OFF state, and T-MAX and L2 are placed within a 1m visible range.
- Press and hold the ON/OFF button of T-MAX for 8 seconds until hearing a "matching status" prompt voice. The blue lamp and red lamp flash alternatively, indicating T-MAX enters matching state.
- Press and hold the ON/OFF button of the adapter for 6 seconds. The L2 enters automatic searching and matching state. When the blue indicator lamps of T-MAX and L2 both flash regularly, matching is successful.
7.3 Matching between Two T-MAX
- Ensure both T-MAX units are at OFF state and placed within a 1m visible range.
- Press and hold the ON/OFF buttons of both T-MAX units for 8 seconds until hearing a "matching status" prompt voice. The blue lamp and red lamp flash alternatively, indicating both T-MAX units enter matching state.
- Press the ON/OFF button of one T-MAX unit. It will automatically search for the other T-MAX unit for matching. You will hear a prompt voice. When the blue lamp flashes regularly, matching is successful.
- Note: If they cannot enter red/blue lamp alternative flashing state, please clear the matching record and repeat the above steps.
7.4 Group Talk Settings (group of 6 people)
Note: The foremost and backmost cyclers (shown as A and F in the diagram) are not allowed to be paired with each other.
- Clear the matching record between A and F: Press and hold the ON/OFF buttons of A and F for 8 seconds until hearing a "shutdown" prompt voice, then hold the button for another 3 seconds.
- Refer to the matching method in section 7.3 for the following operations:
- A matches with B and shutdown B after matching (note: shutdown without clearing matching record).
- B matches with C and shutdown C after matching.
- C matches with D and shutdown D after matching.
- D matches with E and shutdown E after matching.
- E matches with F.
- Connect A, B, C, D, E, F in tandem arrangement:
- Press the ON/OFF button of D to connect to E, you will hear an intercom prompt voice.
- Press the ON/OFF button of C to connect to D, you will hear an intercom prompt voice.
- Press the ON/OFF button of B to connect to C, you will hear an intercom prompt voice.
- Press the ON/OFF button of A to connect to B, you will hear an intercom prompt voice.
7.5 Operations for When Someone Receives a Call during Group Talk
During a 6-person group talk, if one member (e.g., C) receives a call, they will be disconnected from other group members. After C's call is over, they will be reconnected into the group talk, and the 6-person group talk resumes.
7.6 Connect with Multiple Devices
A group member can connect to multiple devices (mobile phones, GPS, and adapters) when connecting with the group.
- The foremost and backmost members of the group (A and F) can connect with any two devices of mobile phones, GPS, or adapters, apart from connecting with one group member.
- Members in the middle of the group (B, C, D, E) can connect with any one device of mobile phones, GPS, or adapters, apart from connecting with two group members.
8. Priority of Functions
The system prioritizes audio sources as follows:
- Level 1: Phone Call / Two-way radio audio introduced by adapter.
- Level 2: Bluetooth Intercom.
- Level 3: Music / FM radio.
Analysis of Priorities:
- During an active call, interphone talkback, Bluetooth talkback, music, and radio are all not operable. However, upon the arrival of an interphone talkback or Bluetooth talkback invitation, a prompt tone will be heard.
- During an active interphone talkback, Bluetooth talkback, music, and radio are all not operable. However, a prompt tone will be heard upon a Bluetooth talkback invitation.
- During an active Bluetooth talkback, music and radio are not operable. Talkback introduced by an interphone control line is not affected by priority and can be carried out simultaneously with calls, music, and radio.

10. Indication of Battery Volume
This product uses Polymer Batteries. For optimal service life, store in dry places and recharge the battery after more than 1 month of storage.
- If the battery volume is full, the blue light will flash every 2 seconds when starting the device.
- An alarm is triggered when the battery runs low. The low battery volume alarm repeats every 15 seconds, and the red lamp flashes once every 15 seconds. The device will shut down automatically if the battery volume is critically low.
- When connected to power after charging is complete, the red lamp will flash once and then turn off.
- The product is usable during recharging.
