KC501 Key & Chip Programmer
KC501 Key & Chip Programmer is designed to read and write keys, generate dealer keys, read and write MCU / EEPROM chips, read and write remotes, and read and write Mercedes infrared keys. It is compatible with XTOOL tablets or PCs.
Device Overview
The KC501 features several ports and slots for its various functions:
- 1. DC Port: Provides 12V DC power supply.
- 2. USB Port: Provides data communication and 5V DC power supply (Type B USB port for device, PC, and KC501 connection).
- 3. DB 26-Pin Port: Connects with Mercedes Benz infrared cable, ECU cable, MCU cable, and MC9S12 cable.
- 4. Cross Signal Pins: Accommodates MCU board, MCU spare cable, or DIY signal interface for reading/writing MCU and ECU chips.
- 5. Locker: Secures the EEPROM component transponder slot for proper function. Used for placing EEPROM chips or sockets for data reading/writing.
- 6. EEPROM Component Transponder Slot: Holds EEPROM plug-in transponders or EEPROM sockets.
- 7. Status LED: Indicates the current operating status.
- 8. Display Screen: Shows remote frequency or transponder ID.
- 9. Remote Frequency Button: Press to display remote frequency on the screen.
- 10. Transponder ID Button: Press to display transponder ID on the screen.
- 11. Transponder Slot: Holds transponders for reading or writing transponder data.
- 12. Vehicle Key Slot: Holds vehicle keys for reading or writing key data.
- 13. Remote Control Transponder Induction Area: Used for reading and writing remote control transponder data.
- 14. Mercedes Infrared Key Slot: Holds Mercedes infrared keys for reading or writing key data.
Operation Steps
Bluetooth Device Operation Steps
- Connect the VCI and main cable to the car's OBD port, typically located under the dashboard.
- Turn on the XTOOL device and pair it via Bluetooth with the VCI.
- Connect the XTOOL device and KC501 using a USB cable. Navigate to the immobilization menu and follow the on-device instructions.
Wire Device Operation Steps
- Turn on the XTOOL device.
- Connect the car's OBD port using the wire. The OBD port is usually under the dashboard.
- Connect the XTOOL device and KC501 using a USB cable. Navigate to the immobilization menu and follow the on-device instructions.
PC Connection
The KC501 also supports connection to a PC for operation.
