Getting Started
Follow these steps to set up your KidoCall watch:
- Purchase a 4G LTE NANO SIM card (micro sim) with activated data, GPRS, and caller display functions from any service provider.
- Charge the KidoCall watch fully using the provided cable. Connect the cable to a USB wall charger and attach the magnetized end to the gold points on the back of the watch.
- Once fully charged, remove the charger and turn the watch off (screen blank) before inserting the SIM card.
- Remove the small cover on the left side of the watch using the provided screwdriver. Do not replace the cover until setup is completed.
- Insert the SIM card fully into the cavity, chip up and notch facing in. Ensure the SIM remains firmly in position. A SIM card tool may be used for this.
- Power on the watch by pressing the power on/SOS button for 2 seconds.
- To access settings, swipe the screen to the left, scroll down to 'reboot', and tap on 'reboot'.
- Download the SeTracker2 app onto the parent's phone or use the computer GPRS platform. For app download, scan the QR code on the manual or on the watch (go to QR Code > App Code) with your phone's camera.
- After the app download is complete, register a new account using a valid email address, create a password, and register. For Australia & New Zealand, the region is Asia & Oceania. You will be prompted for a verification code; enter this code to register.
- Bind the watch with the app on your phone. Switch Bluetooth on in your phone, power the watch on, and navigate to QR code > RegCode on the watch. This code contains letters and numbers. Scan the watch's QR Regcode using the SeTracker2 app on your phone.
- Complete the child's details in the app, such as name/nickname, avatar/photo, and your relationship (e.g., Mom, Dad).
- If the QR Regcode appears as 0000000000, move to an area with good and stable 4G network coverage and wait a few minutes for the SIM to connect.
Troubleshooting & Features
- SIM Card Error: This message occurs if the SIM card has not been inserted correctly (e.g., sliding out).
- Device Offline Error: This message indicates poor signal coverage. Move to a location with better signal. Alternatively, on the watch, go to settings > more > wifi, switch it on (blue), and allow the watch to connect to your Wi-Fi.
- Adding Contacts: Once binding is successful, go to 'Phone Book' in the app. Add names and phone numbers of permitted contacts and save them. These contacts will appear in the watch's contact list. Calls from unauthorized numbers will be blocked.
- Dial Pad Control: In the app, go to 'Switch Settings' (terminal functions) to disable the dial pad, preventing calls to random, unauthorized numbers.
- Multiple Users: Two parents can be linked to one KidoCall watch. Refer to the manual item 5, "Authorizing a Secondary Administrator," for details.
- Multiple Watches: One parent can link two or more KidoCall watches to their phone's app using the same process.
- Water Resistance: The KidoCall is IP67 waterproof, meaning it is splash-proof for daily use and can be immersed in stationary water. It is not suitable for swimming or showering.
