First Use / Charging
1. Connect the supplied micro USB cable to the charging port (A) on the product.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB device or a universal charger to connect directly to the mains. This product must be charged with a universal 5V USB adapter meeting the 60335-2-29 standard.
When connected to power, the night light will glow dimly red (low battery) and then green when the battery is full. To prevent children from being attracted to the socket or computer, the night light emits only a very low-intensity light when plugged in.
To optimize battery life, it is recommended to charge the night light for at least 8 hours before the first use.
The battery can power the night light for up to 1 month, depending on usage (approximately thirty nights with the 45-minute timer or 24 hours continuously).
Mode Selection
Your night light offers 3 modes, selected using the side slider (B).
Each time the mode is changed (using slider B), the night light turns off. Simply press the side button (C) to turn it on.
- Position 1: White Light. A short press on button (C) alternates between low and high light intensity.
- Position 2: Automatic Color Change. Each color remains active for about ten seconds before gently transitioning to the next. A short press on button (C) freezes the current color (stops automatic change); pressing again changes to the next color and reactivates automatic color change.
- Position 3: Color Detection Mode. As soon as the night light is placed on a surface, it illuminates with the color of that surface. Pressing button (C) when the night light is on disables color detection (activated by the sensor area F when placed), allowing the night light to remain on in the last detected color.
Turning Off
To turn off the night light, press and hold the side button (C) for more than 2 seconds.
You can also use the built-in timer (slider D). If it is not deactivated (set to 'off'), the night light will automatically turn off after 45 minutes. This is ideal for letting the night light turn off by itself while your child sleeps.
Note: If slider B is in color detection mode (mode 3), the color sensor will automatically activate as soon as the night light is placed on a surface again. To keep the night light off even if it is handled and placed on a surface, slider B must be in mode 1 or 2.
Tips
In position 3, you can freeze a captured color by pressing button (C). To reactivate the color sensor, briefly press button (C).
For proper functioning, the color sensor (E) must be placed completely flat on the surface to be identified.
If the color to be captured is too dark or dull (e.g., grey, dark brown, navy blue), the night light may not be able to reproduce it and will illuminate with a brighter light. Certain surfaces (dark, textured, reflective, transparent, patterned, multicolored, or those with special characteristics) may interfere with the color sensor's proper functioning.
If the night light remains lit with a solid bright red, it needs to be recharged.
