2. Device Description, Operating Temperature, Protection, and Storage
The Si-C320 transmitter can measure simultaneous parameters including differential pressure, temperature (Pt100 and thermocouple), hygrometry, air quality (CO/CO2/VOC), air velocity, airflow, and air change rate.
- Operating temperature: -10 to 50 °C (14 to 122 °F)
- Protection: IP66, resistant to VHP*
- Storage temperature: -10 to 70 °C (14 to 158 °F)
*Vaporized hydrogen peroxide
3. Directive 2014/53/EU
Sauermann Industrie SAS hereby declares that the radio equipment type Si-C320 is in compliance with Directive 2014/53/EU. The full text of the EU declaration of conformity is available at the following internet address: sauermanngroup.com
4. Mounting
To install the transmitter on a wall:
- Fix the stainless steel plate to the wall using Ø8 mm drilling, supplied screws, and wall-plugs.
- Insert the transmitter onto the plate (see diagram A) by aligning it at a 30° angle.
- Rotate the housing clockwise until a "click" is heard, confirming correct installation.
- Open the housing and lock the clamping system to the plate with the provided screw (see photo).
- To remove the transmitter from the fixing plate, first remove this screw.
Diagram Description: A diagram shows a stainless steel mounting plate with dimensions (120 mm x 65 mm) and screw hole locations. Another diagram illustrates the transmitter housing being attached to this plate using a fixing screw.
5. Connections
Diagram Description: A detailed diagram shows the internal layout and connection points of the Si-C320 transmitter. Numbered callouts indicate:
- 1. Connection for PC software
- 2. Wireless module (optional)
- 3. Pressure module (optional)
- 4. Solenoid valve
- 5. Autozero
- 6. RS 485 connection (a)
- 7. Analog outputs (b)
- 8. Power supply terminal block (c)
- 9. Cable glands
- 10. Pressure connectors (delivered on models with Si-PRO-DP pressure modules)
- 11. Probe 1 connection
- 12. Probe 2 connection
The diagram also labels Modbus terminals (A+, B-) and the 24 VDC/VAC power supply terminals.
6. Electrical Connections (NFC15-100 Standard)
This connection must be made by a formed and qualified technician. The transmitter must not be energized during connection. The presence of a switch or a circuit breaker upstream of the device is compulsory.
Diagram Description:
- For 24 VDC models: Shows a diagram for connecting a 24 VDC power supply to the device terminals (+, -).
- For 24 VAC models: Shows diagrams for connecting a 24 VAC power supply using converters, illustrating Phase (L), Neutral (N), and Ground (PE) connections.
- 0/4-20 mA current output connection: Illustrates the connection of the 0/4-20 mA output terminals (GND, 0-5/10 V) to a passive regulator display or PLC/BMS.
- 0-5/10 V voltage output connection: Illustrates the connection of the 0-5/10 V output terminals (GND, 0/4-20 mA) to a passive regulator display or PLC/BMS.
7. First Start-up
For models with a display:
- Tap "Start Settings".
- Select your language and tap "Next".
- Tap your required country and then "Next".
- Tap your area.
- Set the date and tap "Next".

- Set your time and tap "Next".
For models without a display, please use the app to set your transmitter.
Diagram Description: Screenshots show the sequence of on-screen setup steps: Welcome screen, Language selection, Country selection, Date setting, Time Zone selection, and Time setting.
8. Probe Connection/Disconnection
Connecting a probe to the Si-C320 transmitter:
- Present the probe connector (a) with its arrow and padlock face to the transmitter connector (b).
- Push the probe connector (a) into the transmitter connector (b) until a "click" is heard. The probe is correctly connected.
Disconnecting a probe from the Si-C320 transmitter:
- Turn the ring (c) of the probe connector to the left.
- Pull the probe connector (a) away from the transmitter connector (b).
Diagram Description: Diagrams visually demonstrate the steps for connecting and disconnecting a probe, highlighting the alignment, insertion, and release mechanisms.
9. Set a Channel
After initial setup, you can connect a probe to set up a channel.
- Connect a probe to set a channel and tap "Next".
- The list of available channels is displayed. Tap the required channel.
- Tap "PROBE 1", "PROBE 2", or "MODULE". Parameters to set are now available.
- Configure the channel parameters (e.g., Units, Coefficient, Offset) according to your needs.
- Channel 2 is configured. Tap "Next" to configure outputs.
For models without a display, please use the app to set your channel.
Diagram Description: Screenshots guide the user through channel configuration, showing selection of probe type and inputting parameters like Units, Coefficient, and Offset.
10. Set an Output
Configure the transmitter's analog outputs.
- Tap the output to set corresponding to the previously configured channel.
- Activate the output taping. Set the output type (e.g., 4-20 mA) and high/low range values.
- Tap the back arrow on the top left to return.
- Tap "Next" to display measurements.
For models without a display, please use the app to set your output.
