1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing one of our easy operation highly qualified products. This camera was developed by Rexing's diligent and smart engineers based on customer feedback and requirements. We hope you enjoy this product. Rexing is always open-minded and willing to adopt creative ideas.
1.1 Application
This trail camera is ideal for housing security, warehouse surveillance, and monitoring wild animals. Its camouflage appearance and shape make it convenient to install or fasten. It can be used to take photographs manually and record long-time videos in Test mode.
- a. Instant surveillance camera for home, office, construction site, and warehouse.
- b. Motion-triggered infrared night vision surveillance.
- c. Animal observation and hunting.
1.2 Power Supply
a. AA Alkaline Batteries
This camera can operate with 4 or 8 AA Alkaline batteries. Please note that the voltage of rechargeable AA batteries (1.2V) is insufficient to power this device. Battery electrodes may cause device malfunction. We recommend changing the batteries when the power icon on the camera screen is empty.
Warning:
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix battery types - use ALL lithium or ALL alkaline.
- Rechargeable batteries are not recommended.
b. Power Adaptor - Security Surveillance Purpose
This camera can also be powered by an external 6V/2A DC adapter. It is recommended to remove the alkaline batteries when using the power adapter to avoid overcharging. Electrical power is recommended for security purposes.
1.3 Attention
- a. Insert the SD memory card correctly. The camera supports SD card hot swap (insertion).
- b. Please use high-quality AA batteries to prevent battery corrosion from leaked acid.
- c. Use the correct 6V/2A adapter for this camera to supply power, and do not invert the electrode when inserting batteries.
- d. Do not interrupt power supply during system upgrade. If the device does not work after upgrading, please contact our customer support team.
- e. Do not place the camera near hot objects, air conditioner exhaust vents, or lights, etc., to avoid mistaking photos or videos.
1.4 Key Specification

- Adjustable PIR sensitivity.
- Impressive quick trigger time: 0.2s.
- Adjustable delay between motions.
- 4 or 8pcs AA alkaline batteries provide up to 6 months of standby time.
- Excellent image quality during daytime, transition time, and nighttime.
- Time lapse or video mode (depending on the setting).
- No motion blur technology for low light situations at 2 feet per second regular motion speed.
- Up to 60 feet flash and detection range.
- Camouflage housing cover.
- Supports up to 128GB SD card. (SD memory cards are not included in the package).
2. Camera Overview
Front Side
The front side of the camera features an LCD screen, control buttons (MENU, MODE, OK, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, SHOT), an SD card slot, USB port, DC In port, and a mode switch key.
Back Side
The back side of the camera includes the battery compartment, which can hold 4 or 8 AA batteries, and the IR LED array.
Right / Left Side
The sides of the camera show the mounting points and casing details.
Bottom Side
The bottom side features tripod receptacles and a DC power input.
Buttons and Keys
- LCD Screen: Displays information and menus.
- Direction Key: UP/DOWN/RIGHT/LEFT navigation.
- OK Button: Confirms selections.
- SD Card Slot: For inserting the memory card.
- USB Port: For data transfer.
- DC In Port: For external power connection.
- Mode Switch Key: Switches between ON, SETUP, and OFF modes.
- Menu Key: Accesses the settings menu.
- Mode Key: Switches between Video, Photo, and Playback modes.
- Shot Key: Takes a photo or records video (in photo/video mode); enlarges photos (in playback mode).
- Battery Cover: Covers the battery compartment.
- Tripod Receptacles: For mounting the camera on a tripod.
Attention: Keys with "*" only work in test mode.
3. Getting Started
3.1 Install SD card
Open the latches and front housing, insert the SD card until it clicks.
3.2 Install AA Battery
Use 4 or 8 AA batteries to power the device.
- a. Open the latches and remove the battery cover.
- b. Install 8 AA batteries according to the polarity signs in the battery compartment. If using only 4 batteries, install them in the top or bottom compartments.
- c. Secure the battery cover.
3.3 Setting the camera - SETUP Gear
Push the SWITCH button to SETUP gear. In this mode, users can modify settings.
The switch has three positions: ON, SETUP, OFF.
3.4 Menu Setting
Press the MENU button to enter the menu settings. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to navigate and the OK button to enter submenus. In submenus, use UP/DOWN to select and OK to confirm. Press MENU to return to the previous menu.

3.5 PIR Mode - ON Gear
Push the SWITCH button to ON gear after finishing settings in SETUP gear. The device will switch to PIR mode 10s later and operate according to the saved settings.
4. Playback Mode
Photo and video files recorded by the camera can be played back on the camera. Users can lock, unlock, delete, and slide show files on the device.
4.1 Playback Video/Photo
In SETUP gear, press the MODE button to enter playback mode. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to browse photos and videos. Press the OK button to play and stop videos.
4.2 Delete
In playback mode, press MENU to enter the sub-menu:
- a. Delete current file: Deletes the current video/photo.
- b. Delete all files: Deletes all videos/photos.
Press UP/DOWN buttons and then OK to confirm.
4.3 Slide Show
In playback mode, press MENU to enter the sub-menu. Activate slide show to display photos one by one, each for 3 seconds. Press UP/DOWN buttons and then OK to confirm.
4.4 Write Protect
In playback mode, press MENU to enter the sub-menu. Write protect prevents files from being deleted.
Press UP/DOWN buttons to choose write protect and press OK to enter the sub-menu. Use UP/DOWN buttons to select 'Write-protect current file', 'Write-protect all files', 'Unlock current files', or 'Unlock all files', and press OK to confirm.

6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Can't switch on camera
- a. Check if the batteries polarity is correct or check battery power level in daylight without enabling IR light.
- b. Reload the batteries and reboot the camera without inserting an SD card.
- c. If the above steps do not work, format or replace your SD card and try again.
6.2 Picture color abnormal
Turn off the camera, reload the batteries, and try to reboot the camera.
6.3 Camera can't take picture.
Please check if the SD card is set to NON-WRITABLE.
6.4 PIR not work
- a. Ensure an SD card is installed.
- b. Check if the SD card is full.
- c. Check if the camera is in time lapse or delay mode.
