Getting Started & Setup Instructions
This section guides you through setting up your Philips Clock Radio.
1. Powering the Device
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the back. Insert 2 x 1.5V AAA R03 UM-4 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as marked. (See Page 1, Diagram 3).
- AC Power: Connect the AC adapter to the clock radio and plug it into a wall outlet.
2. Setting the Time
Follow these steps to set the current time:
- Press and hold the "2 sec" button.
- While holding "2 sec", press the "SET TIME/PRESET" button.
- Use the "HR" (Hour) and "MIN" (Minute) buttons to set the correct time. (Display examples: 12:38, 6:00, 6:12. See Page 1, Diagrams 1-4).
- Release the "SET TIME/PRESET" button. The time will now be displayed.
3. Setting the FM Radio
Tune into your favorite FM stations:
- Press the "TUN" button to tune to an FM station.
- Press and hold "TUN" for a few seconds to automatically scan for stations.
- Manually tune to a frequency (e.g., 87.5 MHz, 88.1 MHz) using the "TUN" button. (See Page 2 diagrams).
- To Save Presets: Tune to the desired station, then press and hold "SET TIME/PRESET" and select a preset number (P01, P02). (See Page 2 diagrams).
4. Setting Alarms
Set up to two alarms:
- Alarm 1 (AL1): Press "AL1". Press and hold "SET TIME/PRESET" while pressing "HR" and "MIN" buttons to set the alarm time (e.g., 7:30). Press "AL1" again to confirm. The alarm indicator will appear. (See Page 2 diagrams).
- Alarm 2 (AL2): Repeat the process using the "AL2" button.
- Snooze/Brightness: The "SNOOZE/BRIGHTNESS" button temporarily silences an alarm (snooze) or adjusts display brightness. (See Page 2 diagrams).
- 24-Hour Format: The clock can display time in 12-hour or 24-hour format. (See Page 2 diagram showing "24H").
5. Sleep Timer
Set the radio to turn off automatically:
- Press the "SLEEP" button.
- Use the "HR" and "MIN" buttons (or designated buttons) to select the sleep duration (e.g., 120, 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes). (See Page 2 diagram).
- Press "SLEEP" again to confirm.
- To turn off the sleep timer, press "SLEEP" until "OFF" is displayed.
