Basic Detection Principles
To maximize your detection success:
Sweep Overlap
Sweep the search coil over the ground with a consistent overlap between sweeps to ensure thorough coverage. [Diagram: Coil sweeping with overlap]
Sweep Level
Maintain a consistent sweep height, typically around 1 meter (3 feet) above the ground, but adjust as needed. [Diagram: Maintaining coil height]
Keep Metals Away from Coil
Avoid bringing metal objects close to the search coil when not actively searching to prevent false signals. [Diagram: Warning against metal proximity to coil]
Refill Hole
After recovering an object, always refill the hole to restore the ground. [Diagram: Refilling a hole]
