HC26 Electric Bicycle User Manual
Operation and Maintenance
Precautions
Please carefully check whether all parts are in good condition before use. If there is any problem, please contact the dealer in time.
Abide by the city traffic laws and regulations when using.
Slow down when encountering rain, snow, and slippery roads. Increase braking distance when braking, and avoid traveling as much as possible to ensure safety.
Do not disassemble parts without authorization. If replacement is needed, please purchase standard parts from distributors.
Wading is prohibited during riding or when riding in rainy days. When accumulated water floods the lowest position of the motor hub, it can cause line failure.
Do not contact the metal points of the battery, as this can cause a large short-circuit current, leading to accidents and fire. Please pay attention!
Wear a helmet when riding an electric bicycle and carry articles according to the law.
Do not park electric bicycles in foyers, stairs, walkways, and safety exits of buildings.
Due to continuous technological improvement of products, there may be differences between the physical objects and the instructions. Please refer to the physical object for accuracy.
Special Tips:
Do not park electric bicycles in the foyer, stairs, walkways, and safety exits of buildings.
Electric bicycles should not be charged or parked in residential buildings. When charging, keep them away from combustibles and flammable materials and avoid charging for a long time.
Waste batteries cannot be disassembled without authorization.
Riding Precautions
- Accelerate slowly when starting and assist with pedals when climbing to prolong the service life of batteries and motors.
- The bicycle controller is equipped with overload protection that automatically cuts off power during overload. Power is restored when conditions normalize.
- The maximum load capacity of this bicycle is 120kg (including rider weight). Do not overload. When riding on complex roads, utilize the shock absorption function.
Parking Precautions
- Turn off the power switch before operation to prevent accidents caused by sudden starts due to unintentional rotation of the speed regulating handle.
- When parking, turn off the power supply, lock the battery, and remove the key.
- For your driving safety and to keep your bike in the best condition, perform regular maintenance.
Battery Storage
- Store the battery at an ambient temperature of 20-25°C. Do not store the battery in environments above 50°C, as this can lead to irreversible capacity attenuation.
- If the bicycle is not used for a long time (e.g., winter, summer, or other special circumstances), remove and store the battery separately. Maintain and charge it regularly to prevent damage from complete discharge.
- The optimal storage capacity for the battery is 50%. Long-term storage below 10% or above 90% can lead to irreversible capacity attenuation.
Bicycle Installation
Since 95% of the bicycles are pre-assembled, the remaining parts can be installed directly upon receipt.
- Adjust the top and side screws to rotate the adjustable riser 180 degrees and secure it.
- Install the handlebar riser.
- Remove the screws and nuts.
- After removing the screws, proceed as shown in the figure.
- Install the front fork and tighten the screws and nuts.
- Connect the motor wire, ensuring the arrows on both connector ends align. Install the motor wire holder.
- Install the fender bracket screws.
- Install the lights.
- Proceed as shown in the picture.
- Install the gasket as shown.
- Connect the light cable, ensuring the arrow direction aligns.
- Take out the pedals marked 'R' and 'L', align them with the crank holes, and lock them with a wrench.
Electric Bike Charging
Connect the charger first to the electric bike battery, then connect the other end to the power source.
Electric bicycles are equipped with special batteries that must be charged with the company-provided charger. Before charging, disconnect the electric bicycle from the power supply. During charging, connect the charger's output end to the electric bicycle and the other end to the power supply. The charger's red indicator light signifies that charging is in progress.
If you notice a peculiar smell during charging, stop immediately and send the unit for maintenance.
Do not touch the battery or charger during charging. Children are strictly prohibited from touching the charger.
Keep the charger or battery away from flammable materials. Do not charge near infants and children. Do not leave the device charging unattended for extended periods. For your safety and your family's, it is recommended not to charge in the early morning.
Do not use chargers from other brands. Chargers are high-voltage circuits; do not disassemble them without authorization.
Battery Disassembly and Assembly
Open the battery lock.
Turn the knob clockwise to pop out the battery.
Remove the battery.
Precautions for Battery Use
- Charging the battery takes approximately 9-10 hours. A green indicator signifies a full charge. Turn off the power connected to the charger first, then remove the charger. Avoid prolonged charging (over 12 hours).
- Do not cover the charger or battery during charging to prevent overheating. It is recommended to start charging when the battery level is below 20%. For long-term parking, store the battery at 50% charge and recharge it every two months.
Motor Description
When the electric bicycle starts, the drive motor draws significant current, producing a noticeable noise as it overcomes resistance to reach speed. This is a normal phenomenon caused by the friction between current torque and magnetic force. Increased starting current in the electric bicycle will result in more pronounced noise, which is normal and does not affect usability. Note: Accelerate slowly when starting the electric bicycle to reduce initial current and noise, which also benefits battery life.
Pattern Description
- Electric drive: The electric bicycle is powered by electricity.
- Pedal assist mode: The key is turned on, and the instrument is activated. The electric assist mode begins, powered by both manpower and electricity.
- Riding an electric bicycle: The electric bicycle is powered by manpower.
In pedal assist mode, assistance is engaged when the pedal is pressed forward and stops when the pedal stops. Braking automatically disengages the power assist system, slowing the e-bike. When the e-bike reaches the maximum speed for the selected gear, the power assist deactivates.
Energy Consumption Description
- Fully charge the battery before long-distance travel. Rough road conditions and hilly terrain consume more energy.
- Carrying more weight on an electric bicycle consumes more energy.
- Operating an electric bicycle at low temperatures reduces its range.
- When the battery is turned off, the electric bicycle functions as a regular bicycle.
Warning
- Do not put the battery in fire or overheat it.
- Do not use chargers from other manufacturers; use the specified charger.
- Do not disassemble or modify the battery.
- Do not connect positive and negative electrodes or touch terminals with metal objects.
- Do not subject the charger to shocks, such as dropping. Keep the charger away from water.
- Avoid prolonged skin contact with the charger during charging, as it may cause burns due to temperatures reaching 40°C-60°C (104°F-140°F).
- Do not cover the charger with objects or place objects on it to prevent overheating and fire.
- Do not pedal while the battery is installed for charging. Avoid winding the power cord around the pedal or crank, as this can damage the plug, cause electric shock, or fire.
