Re: Application for a Class II Permissive Change request to the Certificated Mobile transceiver with FCC ID: ABZ99FT4049, 465-495 MHz, 25-44 Watt.
Gentlemen:
Motorola Inc., 1313 East Algonquin Road, Schaumburg, Illinois 60196, herein submits its' request for a Class II Permissive Change for the above transceiver.
Motorola has removed Restricted Materials from some components to make the radios compliant to Environmental Preferred Parts (EPP) per 12G02897W18, Controlled, Restricted and Reportable Materials Disclosure (Rev, H, Appendix C, Section 2) and 12G13933A12, Component Temperature Requirements To Support "PB-Free" Solder.
Performance data on Radiated and Conducted Spurious Emissions were obtained in accordance with 47 CFR 2.1053. All Spurious Emissions performance measurements were performed at the Motorola Plantation Facility OATS, which is an FCC listed site. Attached results shows that data are within FCC limits but degrade to those in the filing when FCC Certification was originally granted.
All other data, including RF Exposure, reported to the FCC at the time when Certification was granted continues to be compliant.
However, the Radiated and Conducted Spurious Emissions have degraded to those originally reported to the FCC, thus triggering a Class II Permissive Change Request.
Please contact me at (847) 538-2239 if you require any additional information.
Sincerely,
