Entel CLB850FF Battery Pack: Important Instructions & Compatibility Guide
General Instructions
BEFORE 1ST USE: Please check your radio is compatible with the primary battery pack. See over page for details.
Compatibility: This battery pack is compatible with DT885FF and DT844FF models only.
Non-rechargeable: The CLB850FF is a non-rechargeable primary battery pack and is intended for emergency single-use only.
Duty cycle: CLB850FF provides at least 20 hours of operation (based on a 5/5/90 duty cycle).
Activate before use: Remove the protective seal. With your thumb, slide the activation switch to "ON", then attach the battery pack to the radio.
Important: Use the battery pack immediately after activating. Do not switch back to "OFF" and discard immediately after use.
Expiration: Replace the battery at or before the expiry date, typically 4 years from purchase.
Safety Precautions:
- Do not short-circuit the terminals.
- ATEX Rating: II 2G Ex ib IIB T4 Gb (-20°C ≤ Ta ≤ +40°C)
- Avoid storing with flammable materials or in direct sunlight.
Storage:
For optimal lifespan, store at temperatures between -40°C and +40°C, with humidity at 30%-60%.
Disposal:
- Dispose of the used battery pack safely.
- Never incinerate the battery.
- Never dispose at sea.
- Contact your dealer for further advice regarding disposal.
Radio Compatibility Check
If your radio was supplied with a CLB850FF as a packaged box set, then it will already be compatible.
If buying a CLB850FF as a spare battery, please check your radio(s) have the correct firmware as follows:
- Attach secondary battery CNB950EV2 and power on the radio.
- If the screen displays "PRIMARY BATTERY SUPPORTED", your radio is compatible.
If the message is not displayed, your radio will need a simple firmware upgrade.
